Sitting between Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Lake District National Park, Penrith, and Carlisle, you are truly spoilt with places to spend your days. After exploring, the bubbling hot tub and welcoming living space invite you home for sociable evenings and cosy times by the wood burner effect electric fire. Sleeping four across two bedrooms and a canine companion, escape your everyday routine and head to the lodge for family time with loved ones.

After stepping up to the decking, head inside and find yourself in the open-plan living space. Spacious and light, the kitchen, lounge and diner create a welcoming area to cater for all occasions. Sink into the comfortable corner sofa which is positioned in front of the Smart TV and wood burner effect electric fire - great for post-adventure relaxing or family film nights. Step over to the sleek kitchen area which is well set up to make light work of mealtimes and the dishwasher is a welcome sight after big feasts. After serving up at the dining table or in the garden (reached down the steps from the decking), sip a tipple in the hot tub and bubble the night away alfresco. Throw on your robe and your slippers to stay warm and head back inside to rest your head in the two charming bedrooms before tomorrow’s explorations. Rise and shine to freshen up in the en-suite or the family shower room. There is off-road parking for two cars.

Make the most of your fantastic location and explore the Eden Valley and your gorgeous surroundings. Travel 16.5 miles south to the second largest lake in England, Ullswater, where you can hire boats, book a cruise on an Ullswater Steamer with your four-legged pal, or simply take a picnic and wander the 20-mile track which surrounds the lake. Make a pitstop in the town of Penrith (7 miles) on the way home and pick up some local produce for dinner.

Absolutely lovely and relaxing place for a break away. The cabin was very modern and clean. The cabin is literally a minute walk away from a pub which is great food, good value for money and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend and will be returning.

The Lake District National Park is a superb choice for a holiday. If you love nature and the great outdoors, the Lake District is one of the UK’s most beautiful holiday destinations. Taking up the lion’s share of the north-western county of Cumbria, the region has been popular with visitors since Victorian times, and it’s the only place to find mountains in England. Peace and tranquillity characterise the wonderful Lake District, with 16 lakes, including England’s longest and deepest, there is much to see and do. Visit Coniston Water, Ullswater, Wast Water and Windermere for just a taste of what you can see in the Lake District National Park.

Small towns like Ambleside, Windermere, Hawkshead, Bowness-on-Windermere and Glenridding all make for great bases from which to relax and unwind between sojourns into the fantastic natural landscapes of the Lake District National Park. Wildlife and bird lovers can spot all kinds of lesser spotted species in situ, and walking trails reveal some of the very best vistas within English borders. To embellish the experience, you can enjoy some of the country’s cosiest pubs and restaurants, many found in picture-perfect locations.
