Really nice cottage/lodge, pity we didn't get access to the pool but expected during these times. The cottage was clean and comfortable with plenty of space for the two of us and Elsie, our Labrador. Beds were really comfortable and we made good use of the Bluetooth speaker in the bathroom. Spectacular views from the decking area and we felt at home from the start to the end of our weeks holiday.

Lovely little lodge in a fabulous location. The views from the deck were great, we saw a horse and a number of deer grazing in the valley below as well as numerous birds. Great walks easily accessible from the property and local pub and cafe within walking distance. A great place to get away from it all and would not hesitate to return.

The Lake District National Park is a superb choice for a holiday. If you love nature and the great outdoors, the Lake District is one of the UK’s most beautiful holiday destinations. Taking up the lion’s share of the north-western county of Cumbria, the region has been popular with visitors since Victorian times, and it’s the only place to find mountains in England. Peace and tranquillity characterise the wonderful Lake District, with 16 lakes, including England’s longest and deepest, there is much to see and do. Visit Coniston Water, Ullswater, Wast Water and Windermere for just a taste of what you can see in the Lake District National Park.

Small towns like Ambleside, Windermere, Hawkshead, Bowness-on-Windermere and Glenridding all make for great bases from which to relax and unwind between sojourns into the fantastic natural landscapes of the Lake District National Park. Wildlife and bird lovers can spot all kinds of lesser spotted species in situ, and walking trails reveal some of the very best vistas within English borders. To embellish the experience, you can enjoy some of the country’s cosiest pubs and restaurants, many found in picture-perfect locations.
