A fine little cabin. Ideally located to nearby Ambleside. Plenty of walking. Ideal pub / hotel at the bottom of the hill. Room for a large SUV. Although some of the local roads are a little tight.

Beautifully located, clean and well appointed cabin. The view is stunning, we saw deer and squirrels. The grounds are fantastic and safe for both children and dogs to walk in. Pool is definitely for the kids or the more adventurous as very cold. Lovely short walk to the local pub and hotel where you will find fantastic food, however it is quite a dRead moreemanding walk and steep gradient on your return! Lovely footpaths throughout the site. The Lake District National Park is a superb choice for a holiday. If you love nature and the great outdoors, the Lake District is one of the UK’s most beautiful holiday destinations. Taking up the lion’s share of the north-western county of Cumbria, the region has been popular with visitors since Victorian times, and it’s the only place to find mountains in England. Peace and tranquillity characterise the wonderful Lake District, with 16 lakes, including England’s longest and deepest, there is much to see and do. Visit Coniston Water, Ullswater, Wast Water and Windermere for just a taste of what you can see in the Lake District National Park.

Small towns like Ambleside, Windermere, Hawkshead, Bowness-on-Windermere and Glenridding all make for great bases from which to relax and unwind between sojourns into the fantastic natural landscapes of the Lake District National Park. Wildlife and bird lovers can spot all kinds of lesser spotted species in situ, and walking trails reveal some of the very best vistas within English borders. To embellish the experience, you can enjoy some of the country’s cosiest pubs and restaurants, many found in picture-perfect locations.
