This gorgeous barn conversion lies on the edge of Caldbeck in the northern fells of the Lake District. It’s a fantastic retreat for couples or families, sleeping four people across two bedrooms. It’s a great choice for keen walkers and cyclists as there are plenty of routes and trails to discover in the surrounding area. It enjoys a peaceful location, yet the village shop, pub, café and tea shops are all less than half a mile away.

Tastefully designed with an elegant style throughout, this is a warm and welcoming home. The cosy lounge has an inviting atmosphere, with comfortable sofas to snuggle up on in front of the wood burner, after a busy day of exploring. French doors lead out into the garden where you might meet a friendly hen or two! The dining area takes in the beautiful views outside and creates a pleasant spot for everyone to enjoy a meal together. Equipped with all you might need to rustle up something tasty, the modern, cottage-style kitchen is a bright and airy space. Heading upstairs at the end of the day, unwind and enjoy a restful night’s sleep in the calming bedrooms. If your muscles need soothing after a long walk, indulge with a soak in the roll-top bath in the main bathroom. Step outside and fire up the BBQ in the garden and take in the view of the Northern Fells mountain range, or enjoy a stroll through the surrounding fields.

Caldbeck stands on the route of the Keswick to Carlisle Cumbria Way, offering many great walking opportunities. For hardier hikers, the walks to the summits of High Pike (6.5 miles) and Carrock Fell (6 miles) reward you with magnificent views. Explore Bassenthwaite Lake (9 miles), which is the most northerly of the lakes and one of the largest.

This is a beautiful little barn set in a lovely landscape. It was warm, clean and had everything we needed. It's situate on a quiet road in a small village which has a good pub and shops. Great walks from the front door too.

Fantastic property, in a lovely quiet location. Beautifully furnished, very friendly and helpful owners, lots of treats (homemade muffins, jam, local milk, and more!), great village. Very comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms. All in all, top notch and we would not hesitate to book again. Thank you!

Stunning location and appreciated the attention to detail throughout the cottage. Very high standard of products provided. The welcome muffins etc were a real treat. Husband loved the bread making machine which we used a couple of times. We loved the chickens who were daily visitors. We absolutely loved our stay at Beehive! The owners were wonderful and so helpful. The kids loved feeding the chickens and looking after them. The accommodation was outstanding, comfy beds, sparkly clean and the location perfect for exploring. Thank you so much for a much needed break and reset

Absolutely lovely property in an idyllic location. Owners very friendly and offered great advice on local walks, but they also left us to get on with our holiday in private. First place weve visited in the Lakes where wed happily go back.

We had a wonderful stay at Beehive Barn. The owners couldnt be more hospitable and welcoming and provided so many little extra touches to make our stay feel special. The accommodation is beautifully presented and the location is lovely. Caldbeck village is a little gem!

What a lovely barn. Finished to a high standard, lot of detail gone into it, soft furnishings, lovely products in the bathroom, and lovely touch of putting a xmas tree, in the lounge. Owners have thought of everything. Would highly recommend this property. Nice welcome touch of local coffee,milk, xmas marmalade and blueberry muffins.

Outstanding property which has all the little extras and home comforts you could want. Underfloor heating was lovely as was the log burner. Just wish we could've stayed longer.
