We enjoyed our stay at Ben Fold and it is a great location to start lots of low level walks. The cottage was well equipped and had everything that was needed to make our stay comfortable. Instructions for electricals were very clear and we made good use of the washing machine, tumble dryer and drying room due to wet weather. The outside tap was reaRead morelly useful for cleaning boots and a muddy dog each day. The showers in the three bathrooms were a delight after getting cold on a walk! We'll return. Hide

Ben Fold is a superb cottage. It is warm, well equipped and cosy. The drying room is a super addition and so handy after long wet walks! The location is great - Coniston and Helvellyn are only 15 mins away, the Langdale Valley is in easy reach too. Definitely to be recommended.

Ideal location with good facilities for 3 couples. Great showers. Sunny kitchen/diner. Wood burner great as the evenings cooled down. Nice garden and sitting out areas for enjoying the sunshine and listening to the song birds. Would have been even nicer if the hedge was lower to see what would be a beautiful view.

Lovely property in an excellent location. A little bit dated but comfortable. Be aware if you take your dogs - the garden is not dog proof! Our dog escaped across the sheep filled fields on the first day - disaster averted and we kept her on a long lead after that! A lovely holiday and we will be back.
