We had a wonderful January midweek break. Everything was as described and we couldnt fault the cottage in any way. We were also fortunate to have beautiful weather which for January was a bonus and certainly enabled us to get out and about. The cottage and its quiet but easily accessible location suited us perfectly.

We had a lovely stay, although a few basics were missing that meant we had to spend our Christmas break shopping for things like toilet paper. Beautiful cottage, stunning views and a lovely cozy Christmas.

We would recommend you take your own bedding if you can as the continental quilts are of man made construction and are overpoweringly warm. This is a fantastic cottage to get away from it all. Lovely for adults, not young children. Very quiet , and lots of places to visit in the car, which I think is essential, unless you are avid walkers. Beautiful, well equipped cottage., home from home, and beautifully clean. Would definately stay again some day, and recommend to others .

The Lake District National Park is a superb choice for a holiday. If you love nature and the great outdoors, the Lake District is one of the UK’s most beautiful holiday destinations. Taking up the lion’s share of the north-western county of Cumbria, the region has been popular with visitors since Victorian times, and it’s the only place to find mountains in England. Peace and tranquillity characterise the wonderful Lake District, with 16 lakes, including England’s longest and deepest, there is much to see and do. Visit Coniston Water, Ullswater, Wast Water and Windermere for just a taste of what you can see in the Lake District National Park.

Small towns like Ambleside, Windermere, Hawkshead, Bowness-on-Windermere and Glenridding all make for great bases from which to relax and unwind between sojourns into the fantastic natural landscapes of the Lake District National Park. Wildlife and bird lovers can spot all kinds of lesser spotted species in situ, and walking trails reveal some of the very best vistas within English borders. To embellish the experience, you can enjoy some of the country’s cosiest pubs and restaurants, many found in picture-perfect locations.
