Super comfortable and well equipped cottage. Conveniently located for a 5 minute stroll into the village - remember to carry a torch in the dark. Sunshine flooded in for most of our stay. We were very lucky! Our host, Susan, was very welcoming and helpful. She even popped round to offer us the opportunity to extend check-out to allow us to watch thRead moree rugby World Cup final on TV. Highly recommended. Hide

Location very good with lovely garden and views. Owner very nice and helpful. If it had not been for the dreadful smell of gloss paint it would have been a good holiday. Cottage needs updating, particularly the furniture and furnishings. Over priced.

Our cottage was all one could hope for and in such a delightful location. Well equipped and spotless! The owner was on hand to help with any queries - nothing was too much trouble.

The Lake District National Park is a superb choice for a holiday. If you love nature and the great outdoors, the Lake District is one of the UK’s most beautiful holiday destinations. Taking up the lion’s share of the north-western county of Cumbria, the region has been popular with visitors since Victorian times, and it’s the only place to find mountains in England. Peace and tranquillity characterise the wonderful Lake District, with 16 lakes, including England’s longest and deepest, there is much to see and do. Visit Coniston Water, Ullswater, Wast Water and Windermere for just a taste of what you can see in the Lake District National Park.

Small towns like Ambleside, Windermere, Hawkshead, Bowness-on-Windermere and Glenridding all make for great bases from which to relax and unwind between sojourns into the fantastic natural landscapes of the Lake District National Park. Wildlife and bird lovers can spot all kinds of lesser spotted species in situ, and walking trails reveal some of the very best vistas within English borders. To embellish the experience, you can enjoy some of the country’s cosiest pubs and restaurants, many found in picture-perfect locations.
