Lovely location looking down on the lake, very quiet, very comfortable, cleanliness was very reassuring. If four people sharing kitchenette may be a bit small.

Great location and views of Esthwaite Water. Lovely, peaceful setting, only 3 minutes ( 20 minute walk) to Hawkshead which is a lovely little village, a number of little pubs that served great food (the ones that we ate at anyway). The grounds are fantastic, we took advantage to sit outside and read a book/drink wine whilst the sun shined (it does Read moresometimes in these parts..), it felt like heaven!! Would love to go back to Broomriggs, get the impression that people go back year on year. Hide

Our apartment was clean, bright and well equipped. The views from the front windows are magnificent. Alan, the warden, was very helpful and explained all we needed to know on our arrival. Due to its central position in the Lake District we were able to get to most of the main tourist attractions with ease.

The apartment (Broomriggs 2) was spacious, comfortable and very well equipped, including Sky tv and a DVD player. Availability of binoculars is a nice touch. Broomriggs is in a great location, very peaceful and there is ample parking. And the view from the front of the house is fabulous!

The Lake District National Park is a superb choice for a holiday. If you love nature and the great outdoors, the Lake District is one of the UK’s most beautiful holiday destinations. Taking up the lion’s share of the north-western county of Cumbria, the region has been popular with visitors since Victorian times, and it’s the only place to find mountains in England. Peace and tranquillity characterise the wonderful Lake District, with 16 lakes, including England’s longest and deepest, there is much to see and do. Visit Coniston Water, Ullswater, Wast Water and Windermere for just a taste of what you can see in the Lake District National Park.

Small towns like Ambleside, Windermere, Hawkshead, Bowness-on-Windermere and Glenridding all make for great bases from which to relax and unwind between sojourns into the fantastic natural landscapes of the Lake District National Park. Wildlife and bird lovers can spot all kinds of lesser spotted species in situ, and walking trails reveal some of the very best vistas within English borders. To embellish the experience, you can enjoy some of the country’s cosiest pubs and restaurants, many found in picture-perfect locations.
