We received a friendly welcome from the caretaker, Alan. The views were the best that we've had at any accommodation that we've stayed in in Cumbria. The apartment was spacious and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Great place if you want peace and quiet and brilliant views over the lake and fells. The care taker, Alan is a lovely man with lots of knowledge of the area. He gave us directions/instructions for a great walk and his instructions were faultless. A great week was had by all.

A beautiful, peaceful place to get away from it all. Lots of walks locally. Magnificent views and sunsets. A well equipped flat with everything you could possibly need even dishwasher which was a great help to us. Whilst most of the flat was clean I feel it needs a thorough top to bottom clean.

The apartment was excellent, the grounds lovely and the views superb. I would thoroughly recommend this apartment as a base to settle in or to explore further as it is a great location. The two boats to explore the lake was an added bonus...

The Lake District National Park is a superb choice for a holiday. If you love nature and the great outdoors, the Lake District is one of the UK’s most beautiful holiday destinations. Taking up the lion’s share of the north-western county of Cumbria, the region has been popular with visitors since Victorian times, and it’s the only place to find mountains in England. Peace and tranquillity characterise the wonderful Lake District, with 16 lakes, including England’s longest and deepest, there is much to see and do. Visit Coniston Water, Ullswater, Wast Water and Windermere for just a taste of what you can see in the Lake District National Park.

Small towns like Ambleside, Windermere, Hawkshead, Bowness-on-Windermere and Glenridding all make for great bases from which to relax and unwind between sojourns into the fantastic natural landscapes of the Lake District National Park. Wildlife and bird lovers can spot all kinds of lesser spotted species in situ, and walking trails reveal some of the very best vistas within English borders. To embellish the experience, you can enjoy some of the country’s cosiest pubs and restaurants, many found in picture-perfect locations.
