Head through to the quaint kitchen and rustle up some dinner for your loved ones. Gather everyone together to eat in the lovely dining area, and then pour yourself a glass of wine and slip onto a sofa in the living area. Warm your toes by the wood burner-effect electric fire as you chat with your loved ones or catch up on your favourite TV shows. When it’s time for bed, you’ll find two lovely bedrooms on the first-floor. Both rooms offer lovely views over the village and priory.
The village of Cartmel is an absolute delight to discover. Considered by many to be the prettiest village in the Lake District, you can spend many happy hours wandering its cobblestone streets, browsing antique stores, strolling by the stream or exploring its robust foodie scene. Alternatively, get dressed up and enjoy a day of excitement at Cartmel Racecourse (0.5 miles), or head to the village of Newby Bridge (6.5 miles) at the southern tip of Lake Windermere. There you can enjoy a day canoeing or kayaking, or hop on a boat and take a cruise to Waterhead or Bowness.
