This gorgeous cottage in the heart of Cartmel sleeps four people across two bedrooms and welcomes one canine companion. Traditional, tasteful and showcasing exposed beams and whitewashed walls throughout, it’s the ideal Lakeland hideaway for small families who want to explore Windermere or Grange-over-Sands by day, and enjoy some quality time with their loved ones around the cottage’s wood burner-effect electric fire each evening.

Step inside and you’ll find yourself in a wonderful home away from home that’s adorned with charming cottage features including rustic beams and doors. Head through to the quaint kitchen and rustle up some dinner for your loved ones. Gather everyone together to eat in the lovely dining area, and then pour yourself a glass of wine and slip onto a sofa in the living area. Warm your toes by the wood burner-effect electric fire as you chat with your loved ones or catch up on your favourite TV shows. When it’s time for bed, you’ll find two lovely bedrooms on the first-floor. Both rooms offer lovely views over the village and priory.

The village of Cartmel is an absolute delight to discover. Considered by many to be the prettiest village in the Lake District, you can spend many happy hours wandering its cobblestone streets, browsing antique stores, strolling by the stream or exploring its robust foodie scene. The cottage is really well situated in the lovely village of Cartmel. Easy access to the Lakes, villages etc. Loads of info in the cottage - very helpful. It is quite small but plenty big enough for 2 people. Very comfortable and very well equipped. Highly recommend both the property and Cartmel.

The Lake District National Park is a superb choice for a holiday. If you love nature and the great outdoors, the Lake District is one of the UK’s most beautiful holiday destinations. Taking up the lion’s share of the north-western county of Cumbria, the region has been popular with visitors since Victorian times, and it’s the only place to find mountains in England. Peace and tranquillity characterise the wonderful Lake District, with 16 lakes, including England’s longest and deepest, there is much to see and do. Visit Coniston Water, Ullswater, Wast Water and Windermere for just a taste of what you can see in the Lake District National Park.

Small towns like Ambleside, Windermere, Hawkshead, Bowness-on-Windermere and Glenridding all make for great bases from which to relax and unwind between sojourns into the fantastic natural landscapes of the Lake District National Park. Wildlife and bird lovers can spot all kinds of lesser spotted species in situ, and walking trails reveal some of the very best vistas within English borders. To embellish the experience, you can enjoy some of the country’s cosiest pubs and restaurants, many found in picture-perfect locations.
