Set out on foot to explore the quiet Cumbrian countryside with four-legged friends or jump in the car to reach Silecroft beach (10.5 miles) or one of the nearby popular market towns.

Inside, this fabulous rural retreat has been finished with entertaining in mind. The large open-plan kitchen/diner is a wonderfully sociable space with state-of-the-art appliances, a breakfast bar and cosy lounge area with wood burner. Meanwhile, a separate lounge with a further wood burner boasts large windows looking out across the national park. All fitted with Smart TVs, two of the four bedrooms boast their own balconies, perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee with a view in the mornings. Outside, four terraces ensure day-long sunshine, while the eight-seater hot tub is a relaxing way to round off the day.

Perfect for anyone wishing to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this scenic hideaway is surrounded by unspoilt landscapes just waiting to be explored. This property is well appointed and in a beautiful location. The owner is friendly and easy to contact if you have a problem - I couldn't find a key.

Fabulous location with amazing views, its very remote which we loved up tiny roads so if you dont want to get away from it all this isnt for you. We loved the remoteness. A huge property which was fabulous for a family to spread out in so lots of space. Utility was a real bonus and fun was had in the hot tub. Cottage is in a beautiful setting. Quality of the property is high and we found it provided everything we needed for a weekend stay. Issues, ovens were not working properly and problem with trip switch if using second kitchen ovens. Outside lights not working where the hot tub was situated. Noise from boiler room below bedroom which disturbed guestRead more sleeping. Owners made aware of these issues. Wished we booked a week in order to enjoy accomodation more .
