Quiet, secluded spot with lovely views from the lounge and bedroom windows. The beautiful Tarn Hows is just 10-15 minutes' walk away from the doorstep. A very comfortable place to stay in a lovely location.

Excellent situation for a quiet holiday in beautiful scenery. Walks from the door and a short walk to the bus stop for starting further afield mean that the car can be parked for the whole holiday! The balcony makes a good place to relax and just enjoy the view

We loved the cottage. It was perfect for two and the location couldn't have been better. Being on the footpath to Tarn How's was great for a short walk on an evening to watch the sun set over the Tarn. Would definitely recommend the cottage and would love to go back in warmer weather to enjoy the balcony

Lovely off the beaten track cottage with good access to a wide variety of walks. Nearby villages have good facilities for shopping and eating out. Easy access to most of the southern Lakes.

Have stayed here many times. Traditional, comfortable and homely, a lovely place to return to after a day out walking. No main roads anywhere in sight, beautiful walks from the door, especially the 20 minute walk to Tarn Hows, or 35 minute walk into Hawkshead village. Stunning views from the lounge, (a balcony pending) Can't wait to return.
