Sleeping four over two bedrooms, the spacious open-plan living area is well set up for sociable times, and the private hot tub is a warm welcome after days spent in the great outdoors.

After climbing steps to reach the decking, head inside to make yourselves at home. Filled with natural light from the large doors and windows, it is a tranquil space to spend down time in front of the Smart TV, evenings curled up on the corner sofa by the wood burner effect electric fire, and convivial meals around the dining table with a glass in hand. There’s plenty of space for board games, or spend the evening al fresco with treats cooked up in the stylish kitchen and a soak in the hot tub. Rise and shine from a peaceful night’s sleep in one of two bedrooms which are decorated in calming tones, and head into the en-suite shower room or the family shower room to freshen up. There is off-road parking for two cars.

With a plethora of walks and scenic spots to explore, clip a lead on the dogs, lace up your boots and head out for an adventure. Visit the tumbling falls of Aira Force (19.5 miles) before enjoying a waterside walk around Ullswater Lake or hopping on an Ullswater Steamer for a cruise – dogs are welcome to join you on board. Discover the longest surviving stretch of Hadrian’s Wall and set off for an invigorating walk from Birdoswald Roman Fort (26 miles). For a night off from the kitchen, visit the local pub or travel to the vibrant city of Carlisle (12 miles).
