The interior features a small but usefully equipped open-plan layout, providing an ideal space for relaxing in at the end of a great day out. The stylishly designed kitchen area has a range of equipment, perfect for rustling up a hearty breakfast or a romantic meal. There’s a charming dining area with views out over the fells. At the other end of the hut is the cosy double bed and the wall-mounted TV, perfect for a lazy lie-in. The hut also has a refreshing shower room. Heading back through the French doors, a private seating area is in front of the property, offering a charming spot to sit back with a glass or two of wine and take in the stunning scenery.
Threlkeld has a number of welcoming pubs and tearooms, and makes a great base for visiting attractions and landmarks, including the Threlkeld Quarry and Mining Museum (0.5 miles), Aira Force Waterfall near Ullswater and Mirehouse and Gardens near Bassenthwaite Lake (both within 10 miles). The popular town of Keswick (4 miles) is at the head of Derwentwater and is home to the Derwent Pencil Museum, Castlerigg Stone Circle, Puzzling Place and Keswick Adventure Centre.
