Adrenaline seekers will be tempted to scale Helvellyn 12.5 miles away, but the peaceful shores of Ullswater are a delight to explore with pockets of ancient forest and pretty waterfalls including Aira Force 5.5 miles away. Hop on board a traditional steamer and take to the water to experience the scenery from a new perspective, or charter a boat or kayak and make your own adventure. Your accommodation offers a cosy base for couples after a busy day, so pour a glass of wine and venture outside to soak up the views over the Ullswater Valley.
