This is really lovely accommodation, everything you need really clean and comfortable. We received a very warm welcome. It was also fabulous that we could sit at the top of the garden to enjoy the view. We would recommend this as a place to stay to any one who would like to visit the area.

Superb location to enjoy the southern end of the lakes. A great area for walking with magnificent views. Not as busy or commercialised as Windermere area. The accommodation is perfect. Light, airy and comfortable, with a pretty garden. The owners live next door and are very helpful. They even shared their crop of runner beans and tomatoes with us.

A superb property in a quiet village away from the Lake District crowds. Wonderful morning silence on a 1 mile walk down to the mudflats. Great food in The Pheasant at Allinthwaite. Only 10 minute drive to Windermere. All southern lake attractions are within easy reach.

The cottage was in a lovely area, plenty of parking, comfortable bed, good view across Morecombe Bay on a good day you could see Blackpool Tower, and at the weekend watch the skydivers. Village shop sells most things.

What a really lovely, peaceful, spacious and clean place to spend a week. Close to lots of things to do & a lovely mix of estuary, countryside & easy travelling distance to the lakes, without crowds & traffic jams further north. Great facilities too & very comfy. We had such a relaxing time & hope to return again.

Cocklers was a fantastic place to stay. It was very well equipped and comfortable. There was off street parking and also a lovely outdoor garden area. The weather was not great when we stayed, however the views were still beautiful and the cottage is very well placed near to places to visit. There are great walks just outside the accommodation. What lovely accommodation . Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Nice walks and a good bakery/convenience store / fish and chip shop in the village . All Lakes easily accessible. The Shower cubicle is bit on the small side though . Very quiet and relaxing location . Would recommend.

The property was well furnished and superbly clean. The owners were very polite and welcoming, even down to supplying a nice bottle of wine on arrival. This is a very well thought out and spacious property for a couple and we much appreciated the views from both the lounge and the bedroom. Our stay got off on the wrong foot. I believed I had booked a dog friendly cottage. On arrival we were met by the owner and told they dont accept dogs We offered to cancel and get our money back. Eventually it was agreed the dog could stay. The holiday was strained as we didnt want to cause any offence and we kept our dog with us at all times even Read morewhen she needed the loo. W Hide

What a lovely cottage in a peaceful location which was exactly what my husband I were looking for. Erica and Peter were very lovely, friendly hosts and their cottage was clean, cosy, well-equipped with a very comfortable bed. We will definitely return.

We recently stayed at Cocklers and it was one of the best holiday cottage experiences we've ever had. The rooms are very spacious, modern and comfortable, the amenities were top-notch, and the hosts (Erica &Peter) were incredibly friendly and helpful. The views are incredible. Extremely comfortable and well equipped with everything you could need. Hosts Erica and Peter are very friendly and on hand if needed. Stunning views, although due to cloudy conditions we could not fully appreciate them this time, but we hope to return when the weather improves. Would definitely recommend Cocklers.

This is an excellent cottage which has good quality carpets on the stairs and in the bedroom. The bedroom is very large with a king size comfortable bed, TV and two seater settee.
