This was a really good place. Location was great for walking without having to use the car. The design of the camp with the lodges on different levels made it feel secluded and peaceful. Having good wifi was also really useful.

The property was lovely, set in the most beautiful grounds and a 5 minute walk to a spectacular view and a 10 minute walk to a beautiful tarn. The cottage/lodge was well equipped, clean and tidy with comfortable beds. I would highly recommend not only the lodge but the stunning Lake District!

Comfortable lodge, well equipped in a great position on a quiet picturesque site. Quite a lot of steps up to the lodge so it is not suitable for some people but this did not bother us, we liked the elevated position. There are lovely walks locally without having to go out in the car which was great because the local villages were quite busy. The Lake District National Park is a superb choice for a holiday. If you love nature and the great outdoors, the Lake District is one of the UK’s most beautiful holiday destinations. Taking up the lion’s share of the north-western county of Cumbria, the region has been popular with visitors since Victorian times, and it’s the only place to find mountains in England. Peace and tranquillity characterise the wonderful Lake District, with 16 lakes, including England’s longest and deepest, there is much to see and do. Visit Coniston Water, Ullswater, Wast Water and Windermere for just a taste of what you can see in the Lake District National Park.

Small towns like Ambleside, Windermere, Hawkshead, Bowness-on-Windermere and Glenridding all make for great bases from which to relax and unwind between sojourns into the fantastic natural landscapes of the Lake District National Park. Wildlife and bird lovers can spot all kinds of lesser spotted species in situ, and walking trails reveal some of the very best vistas within English borders. To embellish the experience, you can enjoy some of the country’s cosiest pubs and restaurants, many found in picture-perfect locations.
