Great property and stunning location. Perfect for walking to Grasmere and the surrounding fells. Stayed with a group of 8 adults and the only flaw is not enough seating for 8 without someone needing to sit on the floor or a dining chair.

This house has amazing views and is in a lovely position to walk around the area and into Grassmere too. There is enough space and rooms for everyone to spread out and not crowd together all the time. The beds are very comfortable & all linens and towels are provided. The kitchen is very well stocked with enough cutlery & crockery to be used & placRead moreed in the dishwasher without washing up after every meal. The house was very clean & well maintained. The area is quiet with very little traffic. Hide

The Lake District National Park is a superb choice for a holiday. If you love nature and the great outdoors, the Lake District is one of the UK’s most beautiful holiday destinations. Taking up the lion’s share of the north-western county of Cumbria, the region has been popular with visitors since Victorian times, and it’s the only place to find mountains in England. Peace and tranquillity characterise the wonderful Lake District, with 16 lakes, including England’s longest and deepest, there is much to see and do. Visit Coniston Water, Ullswater, Wast Water and Windermere for just a taste of what you can see in the Lake District National Park.

Small towns like Ambleside, Windermere, Hawkshead, Bowness-on-Windermere and Glenridding all make for great bases from which to relax and unwind between sojourns into the fantastic natural landscapes of the Lake District National Park. Wildlife and bird lovers can spot all kinds of lesser spotted species in situ, and walking trails reveal some of the very best vistas within English borders. To embellish the experience, you can enjoy some of the country’s cosiest pubs and restaurants, many found in picture-perfect locations.
