Just 1.5 miles away, the bustling hub of Bowness-on-Windermere can keep you entertained for days. Eat, shop and adventure your way around as you treat yourselves to time off from the kitchen, and fill your day with fun activities including a trip on the Windermere Steamer, a visit to the Lakeland Aquarium or hiring a boat so you can make a splash and find the perfect lakeside picnic spot. Walk from your door and summit Orrest Head (1 mile) on a trail that winds its way through woodland before rewarding you with fabulous views.

Climb the steps and head inside this welcoming bungalow and begin to make yourselves at home right away. The open-plan lounge/diner is a wonderful space with bursts of zesty colours and lots of natural light creating an inviting ambience. Switch on the Smart TV, cosy up on the sofa and throw a log on the wood burner for a chilled afternoon or an evening spent together. Before plating up at the dining table and raising a glass to the chef, ingredients can be prepared and cooked in the sleek, contemporary kitchen with oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.When you’re ready for bed, head into the king-size or the twin bedroom to drift off for the night. Take a tea or a coffee outside and sit a while on the patio for a relaxing morning.
