Great location and well appointed cottage. We had great weather whilst there which is always a bonus but the cottage was very comfortable. Had the weather been awful and we hadnt got out and about as much, the cottage is spacious enough to relax and read or listen to music. Also, if needed, plenty of places to hang wet weather gear or locate mudRead moredy boots. Hide

Great place for a couples holiday with everything including fabulous eating places on the doorstep. Also a very welcoming local community. Just a note of caution the apartment is not for the less mobile with all the stairs. Highly recommended.

Beautifully decorated apartment right in the centre of Hawkshead. You can sit and eat your breakfast looking out over the square watching the world go by. Although in the centre of Hawkshead you didn't hear alot of noise which was good. Parking is with a permit ( supplied ) in the main car park a 5 minute walk away.

This was our 3rd stay in Gooseyfoot and it was as good as ever. The access was simple and the appliances and facilities are all clean and work easily. The location is excellent with 3 places to eat and drink within easy walking distance. There are several moderate to easy hill walks from the village and we had a great time again.

We have stayed at Gooseyfoot twice now. We love it's location in the centre of the village. The cottage apartment is very warm and welcoming and the log burner is a must, especially during the snowy weather just after new year in Jan 2025. The cottage is well equiped and cosy. However, a few additions such as mirror's and a clock would be useful. WRead moree also found the bedding and pillows in need of replacement as these were not up to the standard of the rest of the furnishings in the cottage. Hide

Goosyfoot is in a good location within the village. Cosy, clean and tidy with both modern & rustic interior.. The Red Lion is a friendly pub as is the Craft Beer Bar. The downside was the bar manager at the Queens Head who prided himself in being a complete misery.

Lovely comfortable stay, the cottage was very clean, well equipped and spacious. Lighting the log burner was perfect after returning from a day's outing. Good location and close to a number of local towns & villages, a local bus passes through the town.

A great location but the property needs some issues addressing. Please allow guests to access heating. All controls are locked and only on for 2 short periods. The bathroom needs cracked sink and drainage problems sorted.

Property has everything you need, if you like makeup/hair I would recommend taking a mirror with you as there is only the bathroom one! Enough shops/pubs in the village to get by,Read more we would really recommend Queens Head, Red Lion, and the Ice Cream shop! Lovely treats in the honeypot too! Hide
