A bad review before visiting Harebeck cottage had us worried. Following the review - Any behind the scenes dust? Yes. Was it filthy? NO!! Smells? Occasionally, it's an old farm house on a working farm. Reasons for us to leave early and spoil our children's holiday? None. The connecting doors were locked from our side, no safety concerns. We are suspicious as to whether the positive reviews are fake. The property has a series of adjoining doors, one of which is directly next to the bedroom that is set up for children. My husband ended up sleeping on one of the beds in that bedroom as we felt uncomfortable leaving them alone. Beautiful cottage. Very well equipped kitchen and everything you could need in the property. Added extras are a lovely addition, from arrival gifts to dog beds. DVDs board games books are also available. Brilliant location and lovely hosts who are happy to help with anything. Please do take note though, the steps to upstairs are very steep.

So when we first arrived there was a dishwasher full of items, the sides were all dirty (tea and coffee stains) massive chunk of the ceiling missing where it's had a leak, stairs are deadly!
