Beautiful period property situated in the popular village of Hawkshead, a few minutes’ drive from Esthwaite Water and just five miles from Lake Windermere.

This elegant property, which enjoys glorious views of the Vale of Esthwaite, is just a short walk from Hawkshead, one of the prettiest villages in the Lake District. Perfectly positioned between both Coniston Water and Lake Windermere, Hawkshead has a choice of tea rooms, gift shops and pubs to check out, as well as the Beatrix Potter Gallery. The beauty spot of Esthwaite Water, great for fishing, is also close by, and its beauty even influenced the works of Wordsworth. Within easy reach are plenty of other places for days out, including Grasmere, Ambleside, Coniston, Langdale and Grizedale, while Windermere and Bowness lie just a short ferry ride away.

On entering this splendid Victorian house, you will find the spacious and inviting living room with comfortable seating focused around the grand fireplace. The beautiful high ceilings and bay window add real elegance to this room, where you can relax with the TV and iPod dock. Across the hallway is the stylish and bright kitchen which has everything you may need during your stay including an Aga, double halogen hob, combi microwave oven, large fridge and freezer, plus a wine fridge and dishwasher. The kitchen adjoins the traditional dining room which is perfect for special family meals. The open fire makes the room cosy and welcoming, and in summer guests can open the door which leads out to the patio. There is a downstairs WC/cloakroom with a washing machine and plenty of space for coats and boots. Going upstairs to the first floor you will find two elegant double bedrooms and a pretty twin bedroom each offers a modern en-suite shower room with WC. Another flight of stairs leads to the second floor, where you will find a large twin bedroom in the roof of the house, with sloping ceilings and a TV; across the landing is a bathroom with WC.

Stepping outside you will find yourself in the large south-facing garden, complete with patio, garden chairs and picnic table - an ideal place to eat al fresco or to simply unwind at the end of the day. There is plenty of space for children to explore and play on the lawn. There is ample off-road parking and secure bike storage.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Lovely big property, great for children, parents and grandparents to stay together and have enough space to be apart. Well equipped. Showers amazing!
