Apartment situated on the ground floor of the owner’s home, enjoying a tranquil location in the stunning Esthwaite Valley, just four miles from Lake Windermere.

This charming cottage is tucked away in the peaceful hamlet of Knipe Fold. Set in a quiet rural location amongst a small group of houses close to Tarn Hows, a popular local beauty spot, you can enjoy lovely views across the Esthwaite Valley and Claife Heights. Hawkshead, one of the prettiest villages in the Lake District, is just a mile and a half away. A thriving village situated between Coniston Water and Lake Windermere, Hawkshead offers a great selection of tea rooms, pubs and gift shops. Esthwaite Water, Ambleside, Coniston, Grizedale and Grasmere are all within easy reach, and Windermere and Bowness are just a short ferry ride away.

On entering this charming apartment, which occupies the ground floor of the owner’s home, you will find yourself in the welcoming and bright open-plan lounge/kitchen. This lovely and light room is dominated by two windows offering stunning views out across the valley. The inviting and cosy lounge, with TV and a coal effect electric fire, is a great place to relax at the end of a fantastic day. The attractive and elegantly designed kitchen is equipped with everything you might need including an electric oven, hob, fridge and microwave. You will also find an ideally situated dining area. Exploring further, you will find a comfy twin bedroom with two single beds. The bathroom is complete with shower over the bath and WC.

Stepping outside, you can enjoy the beautiful views of the rolling countryside from the pretty and wonderfully maintained garden. Off-road parking and secure bike storage are available.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Hillside is a cosy property, well maintained, a bit old fashioned in many ways but well equipped. Hillside is not very spacious but is large enough for a party of 2. Beds are comfy, there is a storage and the bathroom is very clean. The road to get to the property offers very limited visibility so just drive slowly. Wonderful spot with Mr. McGregor's garden at the front. Charming owner, glorious walks and views. To have sheep looking in through the window and uninterrupted views of hill and dale, there can be nothing more delightful.

The views from this apartment are fabulous and it is in a lovely location. The apartment is small but enough for 2 people. It was clean and pleasantly furnished.

Fantastic views Basic living space but everthing you need. Wonderful garden which is well maintained. Excellent for local walks and only 20 mins walk to Hawkshead. All pubs in Hawkshead are dog friendly and are reasonably priced with good quality food.

Customer service from Lakeland Hideaways was excellent - made a last minute booking easy. The cottage/apartment was just right for 2 and a cocker spaniel, all necessary facilities and Bill was a friendly landlord! Great views, great location for walks on the Coniston Fells, the Langdales and Grizedale. Pubs and Hawkshead a bit too far for walking jRead moreust to have a pint. But a lovely stay! Hide
