Great location and overall a very comfortable cottage that was well equipped. However, the lack of adequate hanging space for clothing was an issue as very little was supplied, but having fed this back to the owner hopefully this will now be rectified. The cottage is located within a few miles of Windermere, Hawkshead, Coniston and Grizedale, and tRead morehe village pub is a couple of minutes walk away and serves good food. All in all a great place to stay. Hide

A lovely comfortable well equipped cottage I. A brilliant location. Lots of walks on the doorstep. We enjoyed looking around the little church and our granddaughter particularly liked the little park and we used the tennis rackets in the cottage for a game at the tennis court.

A lovely cosy cottage to stay in and well equipped. Plenty of games and tennis equipment for children to amuse themselves in the park accross the road, while the dogs ran free in a fenced area. Ideal spot for walkers and cyclists. Co op in the village not very well stocked for necessary items.

The Lake District National Park is a superb choice for a holiday. If you love nature and the great outdoors, the Lake District is one of the UK’s most beautiful holiday destinations. Taking up the lion’s share of the north-western county of Cumbria, the region has been popular with visitors since Victorian times, and it’s the only place to find mountains in England. Peace and tranquillity characterise the wonderful Lake District, with 16 lakes, including England’s longest and deepest, there is much to see and do. Visit Coniston Water, Ullswater, Wast Water and Windermere for just a taste of what you can see in the Lake District National Park.

Small towns like Ambleside, Windermere, Hawkshead, Bowness-on-Windermere and Glenridding all make for great bases from which to relax and unwind between sojourns into the fantastic natural landscapes of the Lake District National Park. Wildlife and bird lovers can spot all kinds of lesser spotted species in situ, and walking trails reveal some of the very best vistas within English borders. To embellish the experience, you can enjoy some of the country’s cosiest pubs and restaurants, many found in picture-perfect locations.
