This pretty, two-bedroom home features tasteful, contemporary styling with a real home-from-home feel. The open-plan living space creates a light and airy feel, without losing any of its cosiness. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you’ll need if you’re not eating out, while the dining table is a great spot for breakfast or a quick snack on the go. Snuggle down onto the comfortable sofas in the lounge and enjoy a film together while the hound dozes in front of the coal-effect electric fire. The king-size master bedroom is a lovely light-filled space, thanks to the French doors which give access outside, while the neighbouring twin room is equally as charming. The enclosed sunny patio, which is accessed via the bedroom, is a great spot to enjoy a drink with loved ones at the end of a great day of exploring.

Leave the cooking to someone else and dine at one of Hawkshead’s great local pubs. Visit Hill Top, the former home of Beatrix Potter and inspiration for some of her greatest work, 2.5 miles away. Try out a new water sport at Coniston Water (4.5 miles) or Lake Windermere (5 miles) or sit back and enjoy one of the many pleasure cruises that run there. For walks and hiking, Grizedale Forest (3 miles) has some great woodland trails and cycle routes for all abilities.

Perfect location in Hawkshead with easy parking,close to all amenities and amazing scenery and local walks.Cottage is warm ,cosy with fully equipped kitchen including washing machine and dishwasher.It is very attractively decorated and kept in perfect condition. We have now spent 4 holidays there.

This is an lovely ground-floor flat within a two-storey cottage building. It has a hybrid traditional-contemporary interior design style which is both comfortable and cosy whilst at the same time being clean-lined and uncluttered. A wonderful flat with everything provided and in an excellent location. All on one level which is an advantage as our dog is older and not so good with stairs. Private parking at the door, a premium in Hawkeshead, perfect for unloading and loading the car. We don't use the car whilst on holiday and the bus service is extremely reliable and good valRead moreue. Beautiful walks from the door.
