Attractive ground-floor apartment, offering accessible accommodation for four in the heart of the village of Hawkshead, a short walk from shops, pubs, and historic buildings.

This traditional and attractive Lakeland property is situated in the heart of Hawkshead, one of the prettiest villages in the Lake District. Ideally situated between Coniston Water and Lake Windermere, Hawkshead is a thriving village, offering a great selection of tea rooms, pubs and gift shops, and is home to the Beatrix Potter Gallery. Close by is Esthwaite Water, a fantastic fishing lake that inspired the works of Wordsworth. Coniston, Grizedale Forest, Langdale, Grasmere, Tarn Hows and Ambleside are all within easy reach, and the busy centres of Windermere and Bowness are a short ferry ride away. Because of the accessibility and layout of this perfectly located property, it would be ideal for those with limited mobility.

On entering this charming ground-floor property you will find yourself in a heated hallway with a bench and plenty of space for muddy boots and coats. This leads you into the bright and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The delightful lounge has a TV and contemporary wall-mounted coal effect fire which acts as a great focal point for this spacious room. The stylish kitchen is equipped with everything you might need including an electric oven with gas hob, dishwasher, fridge with ice compartment and washing machine. The attractive dining area is ideally situated. There are two pretty bedrooms. You will find a comfy twin room and a cosy double bedroom with king-size bed, which has French doors leading outside. Exploring further, you will find a modern shower room complete with WC.

Stepping outside via the French doors, you will find a delightful private, enclosed courtyard which catches the evening sunshine, a lovely spot to relax with a bottle of wine at the end of a fantastic day. Private off-road parking is available for two cars, enabling you to park up and forget about the car for the week and enjoy exploring on foot if you wish.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

If you want a great location and a clean tidy cottage, then Jennys cottage in Hawkshead is a fantastic option. With 4 friendly pubs all within a minutes walk you can't go wrong, along with post office, Co-Op, tea shops and more. We stayed with a small dog and he was welcomed in all the pubs. Great location for walks that suit all abilities.

Fabulous week spent in Hawkshead at this wonderful property. Everything we needed was provided and we found it very comfortable. Location was brilliant being close to the centre, yet it wasn't a noisy area so we could relax after a long days walking. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.
