Situated in the centre of the bustling Lakeland town of Keswick, this is a light and attractive first-floor apartment for two, located in a welcoming Victorian slate building which dates back to 1860.

The apartment is set in a fantastic spot close to the heart of Keswick. This thriving market town has plenty for everyone: there’s a fabulous range of restaurants, pubs and shops within easy reach, or you could spend an evening at the Art Deco cinema or the Theatre by the Lake on the shore of Derwentwater. Other attractions and landmarks in the town include Keswick Museum and Art Gallery, Derwent Pencil Museum, Keswick Climbing Wall and Outdoor Adventure Centre, Puzzling Place, Friars’ Crag and Derwent Island. The Castlerigg Stone Circle (1 mile) dates back 5,000 years, and walkers can attempt nearby peaks such as Skiddaw (6 miles) and Grisedale Pike (5 miles) or head north to Bassenthwaite Lake (5 miles).

This is one of seven apartments in the property, all accessed via a shared entrance. Heading up to the first floor, this spacious apartment features a bright and tastefully decorated open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with two large sash windows allowing the light to flood in. The lounge area has a Victorian feature fireplace, comfortable seating and a Smart TV, making it an ideal space to snuggle up together in the evening. There’s a charming dining area, and the kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, fan oven / microwave, induction hob and a fridge with an ice compartment. There’s a washer/dryer outside on the mezzanine floor which is shared with the other apartments. The cosy bedroom has a king-size bed and plenty of storage space. There’s also an en-suite shower room complete with a large corner shower cabinet and a WC.

A parking permit is provided for the church car park across the road.

The apartment is very clean and location is really good close to the centre of town with plenty of places to eat. Keswick is a lovely place with some very good walks . We would stay in the apartment again .
