Cosy four-storey property in the South of the Lake District with lovely outside space and only a short drive to the beaches on the coast.

Greenodd offers everything you need for your getaway if you want to leave the car behind there is access to the well-connected public bus service. You also have a local traditional butcher on the same street and a very short stroll around the corner an independent bakers and cafe, fish and chip shop and plus much more.

There are excellent walks and cycle routes around the town and beautiful countryside, with views of the southern Lake District and Morecambe Bay. The Furness Coast boasts sandy beaches around a 6-mile drive away and a great day out. Just 17.5 miles away is Lake Windermere and 14.5 miles away in Coniston with plenty of water-based activities to try.

Upon entering this quirky cottage, you will fall in love with the unique layout and homely feel. The lounge offers a great space for the family to enjoy a great night in with a two sofas, an armchair, and Smart TV. In the hall, we have the main bathroom with a shower over bath and WC which has been tastefully designed. On the lower ground floor, we have the fantastic kitchen/diner which offers a great space for cooking up a storm and enjoying some family cooking time. There is an island with two bar stools, a gas range cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, and washing machine. There is also a space perfect for reading a book or for the kids to chill while you’re making a meal. Up to the first floor, we have a double bedroom and a small double. Then finally onto the second floor, you find the master bedroom with a double bed and an en-suite shower room with a shower and WC.

The enclosed garden is a gem with a lovely patio area, ideal for a morning coffee or evening glass of wine, plus a lawned area for the kids or dogs to enjoy. There is on-street parking (subject to availability).

Lymm Cottae is a warm, comfy and nicely decorated cottage let down little by the poor lighting in the lounge. A good place to explore the southern lakes. Fantastic bakery just round the corner from the cottage and good food shopping in Ulverston.

Lymm Cottage was really comfortable and cosy. It felt very warm, homely and characterful. Kitchen utensils were plentiful and the cooker top was easy to use. The stairs felt a little precarious, but understandable in a character terraced cottage. There wasn't a huge amount of facilities in the local area, however everything was only a short drive aRead moreway. Absolutely lovely property to stay in. Clean and fresh, decorated beautifully. Only a short drive to windermere and close to the steam train which was a lovely day out. Beds were comfortable, there were plenty of utensils/pots pans etc in kitchen. The cottage feels really homely and is great for the price you pay! It was a really unique and quirky cottage, the kitchen I especially, where enjoyed cooking there. The beds were especially comfortable and having two bathrooms was extra convenient. Echo the comments of previous guests. Lovely cottage but was a real shame that the garden had been left to overgrown as would have been nice to enjoy it with the good weather in the evenings.

Nice cosy cottage. The kitchen was very well appointed, loads of utensils and equipment. Nothing happening in Greenodd (the chippy is really nice though) itself but plenty of bars, restaurants and shops a few minutes away in Ulverstsone. Bathrooms and bedrooms nice and clean. Living room a little small but plenty of room in the kitchen downstairs. Read moreMy only real misgiving is the lack of anywhere to hang your clothes. Beautiful house, four storeys may be a struggle for any with mobility issues. Downstairs kitchen is well equipped, we cooked most nights. Excellently located for easy access to Ulverston and Windermere. Excellent value for money.

Well appointed property with fantastic very modern equipment in the kitchen. Being an old cottage the stairs are very steep and could be difficult for an older person. Great location for the lakes or Furness coast. There is a superb bakery with a cafe located on a small industrial estate beside the fish and chip shop. A really lovely, well decorated, cosy cottage in a great location. Not suitable for young children or any physical difficulties due to very step narrow stairs and 4 levels. Very well equipped and beautifully thought out
