It’s situated within walking distance of the shores of Lake Windermere, in the pretty village of Wray. Sleeping five people and up to three dogs, there are many scenic walks on the doorstep which will appeal to everyone, whether they are on two legs or four.

The well-equipped kitchen has everything you’ll need throughout your stay, while there’s also an extra table in here which makes a great place for breakfast. Heading outside, the children will enjoy playing in the large enclosed garden, while the patio area to the side of the cottage is a nice spot to relax and enjoy a glass of wine as the sun goes down.

Follow the windy country lane that leads directly to Lake Windermere, where adventurers can try out water sports such as canoeing and paddleboarding. The mock-Gothic Wray Castle is less than a mile away and a fascinating place to visit, with its towers, turrets and great views.
