The Lodge was lovely, it had everything you needed, very comfortable and well equipped, the views and surrounding area was gorgeous and we even saw wildlife. The only thing I would recommend is the oven door needs a little attention, it was very difficult to open, other than that it was gorgeous.

This cottage is quite near Cockermouth, but it is a peaceful and quiet place. The river Cocker flows next to it. The owner, Eric, is very helpful. Beautiful location, amazing wildlife, peaceful and quiet (apart from birds at 3am!) Is the track leading up to place privately owned or council owned? Wondering if it's possible to fill in pot holes or put some gravel down to smooth track over a little? This may or may not be possible due to who owns track.
