Recharge those batteries with a restful night’s sleep in the three relaxing and calming bedrooms. Those lucky guests waking up in the master bedroom will be treated to that wonderful scenery, too. Outside you’ll find plenty of spots to sit in the extensive shared gardens, while the dog has a roam.

Follow the footpath which leads from the apartment to the summit of Claife Heights, which has a purpose-built viewing platform with superb views of Lake Windermere. If you love the water, hop on a pleasure cruise across the lake. The local pub is a short walk away if you don’t fancy cooking, while there are also some fantastic places to eat and drink in popular Hawkshead, 3 miles away. Have a go on a Segway at Grizedale Forest (3 miles), which is packed with some lovely woodland trails.

Lovely apartment with great views and walks from the door. The Lake is within walking distance however there is a car park closer to the Lake which we used as we had wetsuits on and kayaks to carry down. The apartment is situated in a quieter area of the Lake there is a ferry crossing which you can walk to that takes you across to Bowness if you faRead morency the excursion cruises, shops, restaurants etc. All in all a really nice accommodation and the welcome pack on arrival was much appreciated.. The views from the main room and the master bedroom are stunning, even when it is raining in torrents. We found the whole apartment rather cluttered, especially the kitchen, but enjoyed the new mattress and wooden spoons. The communal laundry was shut due to Covid restrictions; once these were lifted, it was hard to find a vacant machine in the houRead morers permitted. Lots of footpaths nearby, lovely walking. The Co-op in Hawkshead is better than most, with a decent range of fresh vegetables. Hide

Such a beautiful property! Amazing views from the windows, in a lovely, tranquil location. Just a 1min drive from the Windermere ferry, so perfect for travelling around the lakes. Close enough to the heart of the tourist activity, but on the opposite shore it is very peaceful. The apartment itself had everything you could need for a comfortable staRead morey, and the rooms were tastefully decorated. We found the history of the building fascinating, it feels really Victorian, whilst very light and airy. Hide

Quirky, well equipped and clean although dated. I liked the Fawlty Towers feel to it! Perfect if you have a dog with you . Outstanding view and a great location. Warm, homely and relaxing.

Perfect apartment in such a good location! Had eveything we wanted to do within a short drive. The apartment was lovely and cosy, could do with a bit of modernising but it did give character to the apartment. The view from the windows were amazing every morning and then sunset was perfect in the evening!

A stunning property set in a beautiful, restful and tranquil location. Lots of home comforts and entertainment for the kids on a wet day e.g. a cupboard full of games and puzzles and Netflix. Having complementary access to the Burnside Spa was a real bonus especially on the wet days. We discovered several great walks right from the door. This is a lovely apartment with fantastic views. Nice and clean, warm and comfortable - would heartily recommend for a peaceful break. Not recommended for disabled or elderly wanting to walk roundabout though due to the hilly terrain and steep access to the property. However, very restful overall and would definitely rebook.

The Lake District National Park is a superb choice for a holiday. If you love nature and the great outdoors, the Lake District is one of the UK’s most beautiful holiday destinations. Taking up the lion’s share of the north-western county of Cumbria, the region has been popular with visitors since Victorian times, and it’s the only place to find mountains in England. Peace and tranquillity characterise the wonderful Lake District, with 16 lakes, including England’s longest and deepest, there is much to see and do. Visit Coniston Water, Ullswater, Wast Water and Windermere for just a taste of what you can see in the Lake District National Park.

Small towns like Ambleside, Windermere, Hawkshead, Bowness-on-Windermere and Glenridding all make for great bases from which to relax and unwind between sojourns into the fantastic natural landscapes of the Lake District National Park. Wildlife and bird lovers can spot all kinds of lesser spotted species in situ, and walking trails reveal some of the very best vistas within English borders. To embellish the experience, you can enjoy some of the country’s cosiest pubs and restaurants, many found in picture-perfect locations.
