Moving into the gorgeous lounge, you will find a welcoming open fire, TV, DVD and CD, a window seat, exposed beams, and ample comfy seating. The beautiful main double bedroom with king-size bed has oak beams set into the wall and ceiling creating a dramatic effect. The second bedroom is a cosy double with zip-and-link beds which can be separated on request to a twin room. The bathroom is complete with shower over the bath and WC.

Stepping outside, you will find the pretty garden is beautifully laid out with a patio near the kitchen, and a flagstone path leading to a sunny paved area at the centre of the garden, with garden furniture and BBQ, overlooking the meadow behind the cottage. Our party of four had a lovely New Year break at Moss Beck Cottage. The cottage is attractively decorated, comfortable and spacious and it was warm, welcoming and cosy when we arrived. Extremely well equipped and great location.

Warm and welcoming cottage superbly equipped. Note that if you need access to the lock up garage for bikes that the letting company need to know in advance. Note that its a coal open fire, not a log fire.

Moss Beck is a beautiful quirky cottage in a great location - it feels like you're in the middle of no where but a stones throw away from a great pub and only 5 mins away from Hawkshead. We were blessed with glorious weather so got to enjoy the cottage garden. Everything about our stay was perfect and we can't wait to return. The Bartons x

We had a very comfortable stay at Moss Beck. It's well placed for Ambleside with its variety of walks. There is excellent beer and a lovely view from the Drunken Duck pub 1 mile up the lane.

We have stayed at Moss Beck twice in the last 2 years and now intend to stay every time we come to the Lakes, which is at least once a year. It is a beautiful cottage, very comfortable and cosy, with everything you could possibly need provided. The standard is very high and the decor is gorgeous. It is also very quiet, despite being a terrace. We nRead moreever heard a thing from either neighbour even though both houses were occupied while we were there. The location is also very convenient, and there are lovely walks from the front door if you don't feel like driving. Can't wait to stay again. Hide

Cannot fault Moss Beck Cottage in any way. The attention to detail for all facilities is outstanding. A pleasure to stay in a place where the owners have gone to so much care to make the stay enjoyable.

After forty years of self catering holidays Moss Beck cottage must be the best place we have ever stayed in. So well equipped with top quality furnishings and fittings, a real pleasure to return to after a day's walking. We stayed in June and the garden was full of flowers, with plenty of seating areas.

Beautiful well presented cottage with a modern twist ! Only booked the cottage 24 hours before our weeks holiday, and we were not disappointed. Very well presented and immaculate cottage. Very cosy and traditional cottage, but with modern central heating and wonderfully appointed and stocked kitchen. Cannot fault anything about the cottage at allRead more, good off road parking, nice back garden which I am sure we would have used more if we had stayed in the summer. Very comfortable indeed, wish we could have stayed longer. Local farmer even delivered the required amount of butter, milk, bacon and eggs etc as required. Helpful info in the cottage to help those who aren't familiar with the Lakes. Would also highly recommend using Lakeland Hideaways, very helpful and professional. Will certainly use them prior to any other in the future. Hide
