Enjoy a long soak in the free-standing bath in the bathroom, before snuggling up under the covers and drifting off into a deep sleep. This is a lovely cottage, beautifully presented and immaculately clean. Lorraine is a friendly and approachable host. The cottage is set in lovely countryside but only about 10 minutes from Ulverston and Booths Supermarket. Being close to the A590 means that you can easily visit the whole of the Lake District. Highly Recommended

A small but perfectly formed cottage. Very cosy in the right way and perfect for two. The bathroom is particularly nice. Although at one end of the Lake District, in winter we had no problem easily getting to all the places we wanted to go.

We visited at the end of November 2019, on arrival we were met with a lovely cozy and warm cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed the week, massive bath and a fantastic woodburner were perfect for evenings in after walking all day. The bed was extremely comfortable. The hosts were friendly and approachable, and prepared the property to a high standard prior to our arrival. Thank you! Hide

The welcome was top class a 'table set for tea for 2'. Unfortunately we did not like being overlooked which was not really explained in the details. A beautiful little gem of a cottage. Well located and laid out with all the comforts you'll need. Very friendly owners living nearby gave a warm welcome and showed us how to make the most of the comforts in the cottage. Great private outdoor area for sunset views. Peaceful and quiet. A tonic for mind and soul.

The Lake District National Park is a superb choice for a holiday. If you love nature and the great outdoors, the Lake District is one of the UK’s most beautiful holiday destinations. Taking up the lion’s share of the north-western county of Cumbria, the region has been popular with visitors since Victorian times, and it’s the only place to find mountains in England. Peace and tranquillity characterise the wonderful Lake District, with 16 lakes, including England’s longest and deepest, there is much to see and do. Visit Coniston Water, Ullswater, Wast Water and Windermere for just a taste of what you can see in the Lake District National Park.

Small towns like Ambleside, Windermere, Hawkshead, Bowness-on-Windermere and Glenridding all make for great bases from which to relax and unwind between sojourns into the fantastic natural landscapes of the Lake District National Park. Wildlife and bird lovers can spot all kinds of lesser spotted species in situ, and walking trails reveal some of the very best vistas within English borders. To embellish the experience, you can enjoy some of the country’s cosiest pubs and restaurants, many found in picture-perfect locations.
