With a contemporary style throughout, traditional touches such as exposed stonework and beams add to this property’s character. It’s accessed via a steep drive and then a large set of steps, which lead you to a patio area with views across the rooftops. After a busy day of exploring, retreat to the comfort of the living area in the lounge/diner, with comfortable sofas you can relax on and a wood burner-effect gas fire to keep you nice and toasty. Enjoy a romantic meal together at the dining table, after whipping up a tasty treat in the well-equipped and colourful cottage-style kitchen. Decorated in neutral, calming tones, the bedroom is both inviting and relaxing, with a vaulted ceiling and exposed beams. Beautiful cottage, little difficult to find but once you find it there is easy access, car parking is not far down the road and there was always a space for us. Bedroom is massive and has an extremely comfortable bed. Living room and dining area are perfect for chilling. Myself and partner spent many nights watching a film or playing cards.

The Lake District National Park is a superb choice for a holiday. If you love nature and the great outdoors, the Lake District is one of the UK’s most beautiful holiday destinations. Taking up the lion’s share of the north-western county of Cumbria, the region has been popular with visitors since Victorian times, and it’s the only place to find mountains in England. Peace and tranquillity characterise the wonderful Lake District, with 16 lakes, including England’s longest and deepest, there is much to see and do. Visit Coniston Water, Ullswater, Wast Water and Windermere for just a taste of what you can see in the Lake District National Park.

Small towns like Ambleside, Windermere, Hawkshead, Bowness-on-Windermere and Glenridding all make for great bases from which to relax and unwind between sojourns into the fantastic natural landscapes of the Lake District National Park. Wildlife and bird lovers can spot all kinds of lesser spotted species in situ, and walking trails reveal some of the very best vistas within English borders. To embellish the experience, you can enjoy some of the country’s cosiest pubs and restaurants, many found in picture-perfect locations.
