This charming Lakeland barn has been converted into two delightful homes which enjoy an elevated position close to Tarn Hows and overlooking the Esthwaite Valley. Hawkshead, one of the prettiest villages in the Lake District, is under two miles away. A thriving village ideally situated between Coniston Water and Lake Windermere, Hawkshead offers a great selection of tea rooms, pubs and gift shops, and is home to the Beatrix Potter Gallery. With breath-taking scenery and activities for the whole family, this idyllic spot guarantees a memorable holiday.

Situated down a quiet country lane, this is the ideal cosy hideaway. You enter this single-level barn conversion via a sunny entrance porch with its Lakeland slated floor and window seat, ideal for storing muddy boots. This leads into the charming dining room, and then into the comfy and welcoming lounge, which is comfortably furnished, with TV, DVD, CD, telephone and wood burner. The spacious and elegant kitchen is equipped with everything you may need during your stay including fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, double oven and separate electric hob and microwave. Exploring this delightful cottage further, you will find a comfortable kingsize double bedroom with en-suite shower room complete with WC. There is also a pretty twin bedroom, and across the corridor is a family bathroom, complete with shower over the bath and WC.

Leaving the lounge via the French doors, you will find yourself in the pretty south-facing garden with seating, where you can sit back and relax and spend an idyllic sunny evening admiring the beautiful views across the valley. Secure storage for bicycles is available, as is off-road parking.

Lovely position.... Comfortable house.... Great week....

The cottage is situated in a beautiful location and in spite of some lack of maintenance we had a wonderful week staying there. local pubs were welcoming to us and the dog, and the food was good. Easy to get into Hawkshead and Ambleside from here. We loved our stay in the Lake District.

Beautiful location, so quite clean comfortable

The central location for seeing the Lake District is excellent. It was spacious and clean but needs updating to fit the price asked. Although says garden enclosed it includes the drive and parking for both lettings so had to keep on lead.
