Lovely rural location, however we thought it had a secure garden for the dog, but as the garden lead to the drive which was shared then not a dog friendly place. Entry via a tight gateway - our car only just fitted through it!

Excellent choice as I was with my 91 year old Mother who has limited mobility. No problems at all with her own ensuite shower room which was easily accessed (not a shower over a bath) as was the remainder of the property. Centrally based and yet so peaceful and quiet.

A cosy cottage but could do with a bit of an update. Very nice location and easy to walk to Hawkshead. Nice enclosed garden too.

The cottage is situated in a beautiful location and in spite of some lack of maintenance we had a wonderful week staying there. local pubs were welcoming to us and the dog, and the food was good. Easy to get into Hawkshead and Ambleside from here. We loved our stay in the Lake District.

The central location for seeing the Lake District is excellent. It was spacious and clean but needs updating to fit the price asked. Although says garden enclosed it includes the drive and parking for both lettings so had to keep on lead.

Lovely cottage in a fabulous location, unfortunately it feels unloved and un-cared for and is merely a money making machine. No one seems to take notice of the remarks on decor or house repairs that are required. It requires repairs and decoration and some up to date furniture & pictures to make it feel homely. It is in a lovely setting and has a lRead moreovely garden with adequate parking. Has so much more to offer. Hide

Warm and comfortable cottage in lovely location. Needs a little updating but suited us. Drying cabinet was really useful. Beautiful outlook from the cottage.

The cottage is beautifully located and there are many nice walks you can do from the cottage. Parking for two cars is a major advantage and the small secluded garden is lovely. By and large, the facilities are good - great washing and drying options if you get wet walking, however the cottage is looking tired and needs some TLC.

The Lake District National Park is a superb choice for a holiday. If you love nature and the great outdoors, the Lake District is one of the UK’s most beautiful holiday destinations. Taking up the lion’s share of the north-western county of Cumbria, the region has been popular with visitors since Victorian times, and it’s the only place to find mountains in England. Peace and tranquillity characterise the wonderful Lake District, with 16 lakes, including England’s longest and deepest, there is much to see and do. Visit Coniston Water, Ullswater, Wast Water and Windermere for just a taste of what you can see in the Lake District National Park.

Small towns like Ambleside, Windermere, Hawkshead, Bowness-on-Windermere and Glenridding all make for great bases from which to relax and unwind between sojourns into the fantastic natural landscapes of the Lake District National Park. Wildlife and bird lovers can spot all kinds of lesser spotted species in situ, and walking trails reveal some of the very best vistas within English borders. To embellish the experience, you can enjoy some of the country’s cosiest pubs and restaurants, many found in picture-perfect locations.
