Wow what a great location! We had the best time, and love the lodge. It heated up super quick and had so much space. We will definitely be back.

Pair Tree Lodge is suitably located a short walk from Hawkshead village with a balcony to enjoy a morning coffee in the sunshine or a well earned beer after a great day out. There is sufficient space within the living area where we were able to prepare evening meals in a relaxing environment and afterwards enjoy a walk into town afterwards.

We recently stayed in Pear Lodge - 2 adults and 2 four year old boys. It was perfect for our needs. Close enough to wander into Hawkshead in a couple of minutes, yet far enough out of the village to feel secluded. It was handy for Lake Coniston, Lake Windermere and a short journey to Grizedale Forest and Castle Wray. The lodge had everything we neeRead moreded 1 large double room and 2 twin rooms, and 2 bathrooms. The open plan kitchen/lounge/dining room was a great size and opened out onto a deck. Hide

Excellent location just off the Main Street and a very nice, clean property with most things you will need. Five minute walk to pubs, restaurants and shops in Hawkshead. Parking for 2 cars was useful and the open plan kitchen, lounge, dining area was a nice sociable room. Bedrooms not huge but fine and the 2 twin rooms give good flexibility.

The Lake District National Park is a superb choice for a holiday. If you love nature and the great outdoors, the Lake District is one of the UK’s most beautiful holiday destinations. Taking up the lion’s share of the north-western county of Cumbria, the region has been popular with visitors since Victorian times, and it’s the only place to find mountains in England. Peace and tranquillity characterise the wonderful Lake District, with 16 lakes, including England’s longest and deepest, there is much to see and do. Visit Coniston Water, Ullswater, Wast Water and Windermere for just a taste of what you can see in the Lake District National Park.

Small towns like Ambleside, Windermere, Hawkshead, Bowness-on-Windermere and Glenridding all make for great bases from which to relax and unwind between sojourns into the fantastic natural landscapes of the Lake District National Park. Wildlife and bird lovers can spot all kinds of lesser spotted species in situ, and walking trails reveal some of the very best vistas within English borders. To embellish the experience, you can enjoy some of the country’s cosiest pubs and restaurants, many found in picture-perfect locations.
