Bowness-on-Windermere is a great place to enjoy browsing the shops and perhaps stocking up on picnic supplies before hiring a boat on the water or hop on board one of the leisure cruises which run up and down Windermere at a relaxing pace. Lake Windermere is an easy walk away for lake cruises, boat hire and there are numerous walks from the door including Orrest Head and many more.

Access this property up a flight of steps and through the front door. Once through the front door, you will find yourself in the welcoming hallway in the reverse-level property. On the ground floor you will find the bedrooms, one king-size and one double bedroom, both with plenty of storage and a single bedroom. Finishing the ground floor is the contemporary shower room with shower and WC. The first floor of the property has an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with private balcony off the lounge. The lounge area has comfy sofas, TV with Blu-ray and large patio doors opening onto the balcony. The dining area has seating for six, whilst the bright well-equipped kitchen area offers everything that guests will need to prepare their favourite meals, including an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and microwave.

Head outside to the balcony from the lounge, where you can sit and relax and enjoy being the same height as the leaves on the trees. There is parking available to the front of the property for two cars.

Despite the kitchen area being very small it was exceptionally well equipped and had everything anyone would need, it was spotlessly clean and the crockery was ideal for the situation.

Comfortable furnishings with ample seating for all guests. A very pleasant, well stocked property . An ideal location with access to numerous pubs and shops within about 1/2 mile walk. Lovely balcony to sit and watch birds and squirrels in the trees.

Well equipped, comfortable beds and settee. Amazing location. Clean and well maintained. We had a lovely week in this accommodation and would definitely like to come back.

I loved the upside down quirkyness and the decor yes very 70/80s but added to the character . Very comfy & felt like a nice holiday home from home. Perfect for 1 week 2 adults and a teenager. Great location with added bonus of parking. Easy & simple lock box access. Just as an additional extra a guide with recommendations for water sports , walks aRead morend nearby places of interest to visit would have been useful. This apartment is in the perfect location for everything Windemere. It has two parking places which is a big plus making unloading easy. And it's so easy to walk into town which has loads of shops, restaurants, bars and of course ferry trips on Windemere. There is also a descent sized Spar just a few minutes walk away from the flat which is well stRead moreocked and has a deli and butchers counter. The flat is a little bit dated decor wise but is super comfortable and clean with a brand new bathroom. Hide

Within short walking distance of the centre of Bowness and associated facilities including pier for Windermere Cruises and buses etc. Local walks around countryside too.

We loved this upside down house, especially the two boys (aged 8 and 10) It is retro but this adds to the charm, but don't be fooled! it has every mod con you could wish for! There isn't a single thing that hasn't been thought of. Great fridge freezer, fabulous oven. We didn't use the dishwasher but I'm sure that was fabulous as well. This apartment far exceeded our expectations. Yes, it is a bit 70s retro, but it is exactly as seen in the photos. I absolutely cannot fault it. It is well maintained, spotlessly clean and very well furnished. The kitchen was so well equipped, I dont think I could have thought of anything that wasnt there. Beds and pillows extremely comfortable, anRead mored I often have issues with pillows. Very nice welcoming touch of tea, coffee, milk and cake. Would definitely return. Hide

We had a great week here. Yes the decor is not the most modern, but the apartment is comfortable, well equipped and had plenty of room for the four of us. Location is great too, a short walk from the centre of Bowness. We would definitely stay here again

Perfect location for our trip to the Lakes, property well equipped but (excluding the shower room) very dated, slight musty smell. Beds - the two doubles not overly comfortable, bath towels old and way too small!!
