The cottage was based in the centre of Bowness and came fully furnished with everything we needed. It is in a very good place for most of the Lake District attractions and we had a great holiday.

Great stay for a week at the start of the summer holidays. It was 5 adults staying (one is a teacher therefore why we stayed during the summer holidays) and there was plenty of space for everyone. This is an excellent property for a holiday in the Lakes in an ideal situation. We loved the mix of vintage and ultra modern furnishings, everything was so comfortable. Everything required for a holiday is provided and the property is super clean. A lot of thought and care has gone into this property and can be enjoyed by everyone who stays there.

This was a lovely comfortable homely cottage. The balcony is fabulous getting sun from about 10 am right through to sunset. It felt quite private and looks out at the level of the tree tops. Just a couple of minutes away from the town centre, but a lovely leafy aspect from the huge windows in the living room. The open plan living space suited us well. The kitchen is small but well equipped. Bedrooms are also compact, and just the one bathroom. Overall, we really enjoyed staying here.

The exterior first impression is not the best but dont be put off as inside the property is well equipped and very comfortable. We stayed as a couple and it served our needs perfectly but the single toilet/shower might be a disadvantage for larger parties.

The Lake District National Park is a superb choice for a holiday. If you love nature and the great outdoors, the Lake District is one of the UK’s most beautiful holiday destinations. Taking up the lion’s share of the north-western county of Cumbria, the region has been popular with visitors since Victorian times, and it’s the only place to find mountains in England. Peace and tranquillity characterise the wonderful Lake District, with 16 lakes, including England’s longest and deepest, there is much to see and do. Visit Coniston Water, Ullswater, Wast Water and Windermere for just a taste of what you can see in the Lake District National Park.

Small towns like Ambleside, Windermere, Hawkshead, Bowness-on-Windermere and Glenridding all make for great bases from which to relax and unwind between sojourns into the fantastic natural landscapes of the Lake District National Park. Wildlife and bird lovers can spot all kinds of lesser spotted species in situ, and walking trails reveal some of the very best vistas within English borders. To embellish the experience, you can enjoy some of the country’s cosiest pubs and restaurants, many found in picture-perfect locations.
