This delightful three-bedroom cottage is located just a short stroll from the centre of the bustling town of Bowness, on the edge of Lake Windermere. Accommodating up to five people, it’s a great base for groups of friends and family who are looking to enjoy the great outdoors. With plenty of scenic walks from the doorstep and a range of activities available on the lake, you can be as active as you like.

With a homely and welcoming feel throughout, this reverse-level home has all you need for a relaxing getaway. Access is up a flight of steps and through the front door onto the ground floor. Here, you’ll find three cosy bedrooms which provide an inviting place to rest after a busy day of exploring. The contemporary shower room is also on this level. Heading up to the first floor, the open-plan living area has comfortable sofas which surround a TV, creating a lovely space to unwind, while the dining area can easily seat all your guests. The bright and well-equipped kitchen offers everything you’ll need to prepare your favourite meals during your stay. Large patio doors in the lounge open out onto your private balcony, a great place to take a seat and enjoy a morning coffee.

Local shops and pubs are within walking distance, while Bowness-on-Windermere is perfect for browsing the shops and perhaps stocking up on picnic supplies before hiring a boat on the water. For a relaxed pace, jump on board one of the leisure cruises which run across Windermere, a short walk from the property. Join the circular walk to Orrest Head, or for woodland trails head to Grizedale Forest, 13 miles away.

The apartment was in an ideal place for Bowness in Windermere, just literally 2 minutes into town and by the Lake. There was plenty of utensils, lovely new oven and huge fridge freezer. Thankyou for the complimentry coffee, tea and milk, very kind and we will certainly like to stay again.

This is a really well equipped, comfortable property which is 2 minutes walk from the centre of Bowness. The property has everything you need in terms of parking, location, facilities, cleanliness plus it was nice and warm on a cool October night. Definitely would suggest to anyone that they should stay here.

A very comfortable and well equipped apartment situated about a 5 minute walk from the centre of Bowness and its many restaurants and pubs. We took a cruise from the harbour up to Ambleside which was very enjoyable. The walk up to Brant Fell is highly recommended for the lovely views.
