This is a beautiful Lakeland cottage nestling on the edge of Grizedale Forest in the pretty village of Satterthwaite. A peaceful location, the cottage is just a short stroll from the local pub, and offers plenty of good walking and mountain bike trails right from the doorstep which is an ideal romantic getaway, and short walk takes you to a children's play area in the village. Situated between Coniston Water and Lake Windermere, this is a great place to get away from it all. Grizedale Visitor Centre is nearby, with activities for all the family, including walks, sculpture trails, and the Go Ape treetop adventure courses. The nearby pretty village of Hawkshead offers a selection of tea rooms and pubs. Esthwaite Water, Grasmere and Ambleside are all within easy reach.
On entering this charming cottage, you will find yourself in the welcoming and attractive lounge. With a stylish modern inset wood burner, TV, and DVD and Wi-Fi, this is the ideal room to snuggle in. Moving into the well equipped kitchen which makes the most of the quirky angles, you will find everything you might need including an electric hob, electric fan oven with grill, fridge with ice compartment, microwave and washing machine. From the lounge, you will find the delightful dining room with French doors opening out onto the pretty private patio. There is also a shower room complete with WC, benefitting from underfloor heating. The staircase leads you up to the first floor where you will find two pretty bedrooms. There is a cosy double room with a king-size bed, lovely views of the village green and a decorative feature fireplace. There is also a comfortable single bedroom.
Stepping outside, you will find a pretty paved and furnished garden, ideal for relaxing and enjoying a morning coffee, an evening glass of wine or a BBQ. There is also a useful shed which offers secure storage for two adult bikes and houses logs for the fire. Parking for one car is along the road by the garden wall just next to the cottage or next to the church opposite. Please note, there is a right of pedestrian access through the back yard to the adjoining Honeysuckle Cottage.
