Comfortable, cosy, well equipped cottage. Boot room/utility room was well used during our stay due to the wet weather. Off street parking was much appreciated at busy junction. Location was excellent next to pub, sandwich shop and grocery store. Cartmel village has some excellent pubs, restaurants, shops and its own brewery!

A fabulous house in a beautiful location. The house has many useful facilities. Cartmel was delightful and a good location from which to explore the Lakes by car. The weather was mixed during our stay but it didnt stop us getting out and about enjoying long walks and visiting tourist attractions. Thank you for a relaxing and enjoyable break.

Cottage is well placed for all that Cartmel has to offer, off road parking good. Owners have put a lot of work into making the cottage a most welcoming environment. The preparations post lockdown were good, plenty of extra cleaning products, although we did take a 'covid 19 kit'with us for extra safety.

The Lake District National Park is a superb choice for a holiday. If you love nature and the great outdoors, the Lake District is one of the UK’s most beautiful holiday destinations. Taking up the lion’s share of the north-western county of Cumbria, the region has been popular with visitors since Victorian times, and it’s the only place to find mountains in England. Peace and tranquillity characterise the wonderful Lake District, with 16 lakes, including England’s longest and deepest, there is much to see and do. Visit Coniston Water, Ullswater, Wast Water and Windermere for just a taste of what you can see in the Lake District National Park.

Small towns like Ambleside, Windermere, Hawkshead, Bowness-on-Windermere and Glenridding all make for great bases from which to relax and unwind between sojourns into the fantastic natural landscapes of the Lake District National Park. Wildlife and bird lovers can spot all kinds of lesser spotted species in situ, and walking trails reveal some of the very best vistas within English borders. To embellish the experience, you can enjoy some of the country’s cosiest pubs and restaurants, many found in picture-perfect locations.
