Beautiful property right on the shores of Lake Windermere, with sloping gardens leading down to a private jetty, which is just a 10 minute walk away.

Larger groups of friends or family will love this five-bedroom property which enjoys an enviable position on the edge of Lake Windermere, with its many activities and scenic walks. Sleeping eight guests, three dogs are also welcome here, ensuring it’s a holiday for everyone. The property boasts sloping gardens which lead to a private jetty, where guests can moor their own boat, while the local pub and a restaurant are within walking distance.

Designed and built to make the most of the stunning lake views, this elegant home is spacious and comfortable. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the lounge provide a great vantage point to watch the world go by, while guests looking to stretch out after a busy day will love gathering around the open fire. The contemporary kitchen/diner is equipped with everything you might need to rustle up a treat, while the large dining table provides a social space for everyone to gather. French windows also open out onto the terrace from here. Leave the canines dozing when you retire to the cosy bedrooms, with three located on the ground floor and two upstairs. Outside, the kids and dogs will find plenty to do in the 1-acre garden, while you relax on the patio area.

The lake is packed with things to do, whether the hounds want to stretch their legs on a walk, or you all fancy hopping on a pleasure cruise. Try out some of the water sports on offer or for a change of scene, head to the equally stunning Coniston Water (8 miles), where there’s also plenty of activities. Take in the mountain views on the Tarn Hows circular walk (5 miles) before enjoying a bite to eat in one of the great pubs in Hawkshead, 3 miles away.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Comfortable cottage with amazing views across the lake. Good split accommodation for 2 families. Nice to have storage in the garage for boots and bikes. Daily milk delivery was great. Would be nice to return in the summer to make use of the terrace.

Very nice welcome back received on arrival was fantastic. The cottage is well equipped, and very roomy even for a family of 6 and 2 dogs, with space still there for the other 2 guests if required. Views alone from the property are worth the price, outstanding location. The gardens and the new gate made it fantastic for the dogs. Not overlooked and Read morepeaceful. Satter Knotts is the ideal get away cottage. Located in one of the most peaceful locations around lake Windermere it has the most stunning view of the lake, from the hillside. Everything you need is in the cottage or garden and even better they permit dogs so a perfect family holiday

A very beautiful spacious house with spectacular views over Windermere. The car ferry is less than 5 mins drive away, which was very handy. The milkman delivers daily a whole host of items including dogs treats, which was handy. Office staff in Hawkshead were really friendly and helpful. The location and view from Satter Knotts was fantastic. The living room was a cosy comfortable place for us all to be and enjoy the view over Windermere. The garden is spacious and a great place for our adult childrens easter egg hunt and the kitchen table was a good size for evening board games.

The property was large and well equipped. There was 6 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 dogs and we had a lovely holiday. We were in the middle of nowhere which we liked as we felt it was a central base to where we wanted to visit. It was slightly frustrating that the car ferry wasnt running. It however it didnt stop us, just meant it took us longer to getRead more to where we needed to be! The Cuckoo Brow Inn was a nice pub to visit! This is a lovely house. Spacious and very clean and well equipped. It is tucked away in a very quiet lane, not overlooked and has stunning views over lake Windermere. The welcome pack was a very nice touch as was the arranged daily milk delivery as there is no local shop.
