I remember reading some reviews before we arrived about how tight the parking is, but i thought it was very adequate and expected to be fighting over space, this wasn't the case at all! My only worry i have now is my wife insists we buy a hot tub for our home!!! Or i have to take her here next year. After doing a bit of research on hot tubs and theRead morere running costs i've told her we will go again next year. Hide

Absolute comfort and pleasure. The lodge was clean, tidy, modern. Everything was included, dish/wash/cooker, to ease the self catering side of our visit. The addition of the private jacuzzi was a master stroke. Would visit here again.

Lovely cottage and lovely hosts. We had a great time in the cottage and enjoyed the beautiful surrounding area. Great with the laundry room facilities as we had some rainy days.

A very relaxed holiday. The lodge was like home from home. The car parking area was tight. The people were friendly and helpful.

Very clean and tidy, staff lovely. Very remote which we liked and lovely walks.we had a really warm weather but the patio was at the side, little one at the front but got no sun. Struggled to park our car, it was very tight and we only had a small car.Have stayed in nicer places for the money we paid.

The Lake District National Park is a superb choice for a holiday. If you love nature and the great outdoors, the Lake District is one of the UK’s most beautiful holiday destinations. Taking up the lion’s share of the north-western county of Cumbria, the region has been popular with visitors since Victorian times, and it’s the only place to find mountains in England. Peace and tranquillity characterise the wonderful Lake District, with 16 lakes, including England’s longest and deepest, there is much to see and do. Visit Coniston Water, Ullswater, Wast Water and Windermere for just a taste of what you can see in the Lake District National Park.

Small towns like Ambleside, Windermere, Hawkshead, Bowness-on-Windermere and Glenridding all make for great bases from which to relax and unwind between sojourns into the fantastic natural landscapes of the Lake District National Park. Wildlife and bird lovers can spot all kinds of lesser spotted species in situ, and walking trails reveal some of the very best vistas within English borders. To embellish the experience, you can enjoy some of the country’s cosiest pubs and restaurants, many found in picture-perfect locations.
