This beautiful two-bedroom apartment is in the peaceful village of Spark Bridge and boasts stunning views across Morecombe Bay to the front, and the Old Man of Coniston to the rear. It’s situated in a Georgian country house and provides a relaxing retreat for up to four people, making it an ideal choice for couples or small families. The local pub is 1 mile away and the property is within easy reach of some of the area’s most popular lakes.

 

A wonderful fusion of contemporary and traditional, this charming apartment is both spacious and homely. Entering from the lower side entrance, a shared giant staircase sweeps up to the top floor and the apartment. With an open-plan layout, the living accommodation has a light and airy feel. The chic and stylish kitchen will be a hit with the chefs of the family, who’ll enjoy rustling up a meal or snack while their guests chat around the dining table. With muted lighting, soft rugs and sumptuous sofas, the lounge is a lovely area to retreat to at the end of the day. The two elegant and restful bedrooms are both en-suite, with vast windows that allow you to soak up the beautiful views as you wake. Lovely location and views spoilt by a very unloved flat. Very poor lighting and unreliable heating made the atmosphere depressing not helped by a very wet week.

When deciding on a location for our holiday I paid great attention to the reviews, which I found to be very helpful. I feel therefore, that I should give a review to help other potential holidaymakers. Lovely apartment, fabulous grounds and views. We liked the location, extremely quiet with good access to walks, steam train, boats on Windermere and Coniston. The scenery of the Lake District is stunning and there is plenty to do, even in torrential rain, which we had for 2 days. Lovely Bakery at Greenodd, and some good local pubs with food. The accommodation is very good, stairs are a pain, 39 stairs to a first floor apartment, but worth the climb if you are fit. No welcome pack, which is surprising.

Guests do need to realise that the property is on the second floor and there are 3 flights of stairs with no lift! Once the luggage is in however, the views make up for the effort!

Wonderful apartment in beautiful grounds and very peaceful. The apartment was very well equipped with everything we needed and was very comfortable. Easy access to South Lakes and the coast. Greenodd had a great bakery and ice cream parlour that should not be missed.

This holiday apartment was outstanding. Beautifully and sympathetically renovated with it history in tact. Quiet and peaceful setting a place to unwind but not too far from the madding crowd So much to see and visit in the area 4 days is not enough time.
