Great location, and huts are really lovely. We started off our 3 week stay in the lakes with a few days in one of the huts and had a great time. Left a few suggestion for a few improvement, ie hair dryer, boot tray etc but on the whole would recommend for something different .

Beautiful hut, excellent peaceful location and fantastic views. Owners were friendly and helpful. There are some great walks from the hut, Angle Tarn and Harts Crag for some fantastic views. Also recommend a boat trip on Ullswater. We would love a return visit.

Excellent accommodation. Everything needed for a stay away plus the fantastic brownies and other goodies as mentioned by others! Leaving some milk in the fridge was brilliant as we arrived after the nearest store had closed (although it meant we didn't have an excuse to eat the brownies for breakfast!).

This is a beautiful location, it was a fabulous short break for us. Very peaceful, just the natural sounds of the brook, wind in the trees and the sheep. The facilities were all we needed . It is somewhere we will definitely put on our returns list.

Really lovely stay. Huts are brand new and theres only 2 of them on site so it is lovely and quiet. Provided a huge slab of quite possibly the most amazing brownie Ive ever tasted, which was gladly received! The owner allowed us to stay on a bit longer too. Only downside was that we only stayed one night! Thanks for a lovely stay

Absolutely perfect. Warm, cosy and immaculately clean. All the amenities you'd need for a romantic getaway in a stunning location. The shepherd's huts are surprisingly big inside, the large double bed was very comfortable and the huts well insulated. The Lake District National Park is a superb choice for a holiday. If you love nature and the great outdoors, the Lake District is one of the UK’s most beautiful holiday destinations. Taking up the lion’s share of the north-western county of Cumbria, the region has been popular with visitors since Victorian times, and it’s the only place to find mountains in England. Peace and tranquillity characterise the wonderful Lake District, with 16 lakes, including England’s longest and deepest, there is much to see and do. Visit Coniston Water, Ullswater, Wast Water and Windermere for just a taste of what you can see in the Lake District National Park.

Small towns like Ambleside, Windermere, Hawkshead, Bowness-on-Windermere and Glenridding all make for great bases from which to relax and unwind between sojourns into the fantastic natural landscapes of the Lake District National Park. Wildlife and bird lovers can spot all kinds of lesser spotted species in situ, and walking trails reveal some of the very best vistas within English borders. To embellish the experience, you can enjoy some of the country’s cosiest pubs and restaurants, many found in picture-perfect locations.
