This studio accommodation is an ideal romantic bolthole for couples but also for solo travellers who want walking trails on the doorstep, with fells like Skiddaw just 5 miles away.

Located at the end of a traditional Keswick townhouse’s garden, this studio is perfect for couples who want privacy from the main group or those simply looking for a quiet walking holiday. Ease yourself in with trails at Whinlatter Forest, before upgrading to Grisedale Pike (5.5 miles) then challenging yourself to a hike up Blencathra (6.5 miles). Take more leisurely walks around Derwentwater (2.5 miles), or visit peaceful attractions like Castlerigg Stone Circle (1.5 miles) and Mirehouse and Gardens (4.5 miles). Further afield, Aira Force (13 miles) is possibly the most famous of the Lake District waterfalls, and nothing can beat a trip on the Ullswater Steamers (16.5 miles).

The single-storey property is set out in a functional open-plan style. With apex ceilings and large windows letting in lots of light, it’s a peaceful and welcoming space. The kitchen area has a contemporary style with a double oven, halogen hob and microwave, and a stylish breakfast bar to enjoy meals at. Curl up on the sofa among neutral decor with pops of colour and chat about tomorrow’s plans or watch TV. Head to bed in the sleeping area, where you’ll find storage under the double bed as well as hanging space and a chest of drawers. In the morning, wake up and place your feet down on the warming underfloor heating, and head to the stunning shower room with WC; neutral, textured tiles and a waterfall shower head in the large cubicle make for a sumptuous experience.

Outside, sizzle up a BBQ on the patio and dine alfresco in the seating area. The nearest unrestricted parking is available half a mile away, but unrestricted roadside parking is available overnight.

Great location, short walk to town centre and all the shops/restaurants/pubs etc. Ideal for two people who just need a base in Keswick for a few days. May be a bit on the small side for longer stays. No parking, but street parking available nearby. However, could be a problem finding a space during busy periods.

Loved the cottage was great just got me & dogs, easy walking to the lake or up to latrigg( great sunsets from there) hope to be back soon.

Great location within a short walk of Keswick centre and close to all amenities. Very warm, comfy and cosy. No complaints, will def book this property again.

Absolutely no complaints whatsoever. I was made up with everything about this place. Would definitely look forward to using it again and highly recommend it to anyone else. Location, facilities and comfort are superb. Home from home. Keswick has poor reception but the wifi and phone signal worked perfectly at The Studio. The parking issue is a modeRead morern day problem now with majority of popular places you go to, not just here. Parking nearby was very easy out of season. Would be churlish to complain Hide

Keswick is a friendly lovely town ideal base for seeing the Lakes. Fantastic studio ideal location for town and local parks. Longer walks are all around Latrigg Catbells and Skiddaw to name a few. From the kitchen window you can see Latrigg. Really enjoyed our time at the studio will be back
