These rooms are spacious and two boast en-suite shower rooms with WCs, whilst The Old Stable has an en-suite bathroom with shower over the bath and WC. Climb the original 16th-century staircase and head through the door on your left to find two more bedrooms. It was a beautiful cosy cottage with lot of character. We were a group of 22 people. There were enough bathrooms, dining and living area was big enough for our group. The host was very helpful. Great location for walk and going around the national park.

I have rented this property before and it's a lovely house with the bonus of each room having the bathroom. Perfect because it has a a dining table to seat everyone. Close to a hotel and not far from Cockermouth. However, the cost of renting has increased considerably making it very expensive for a weekend rental
