This was our 5th visit in 3 years and we have already booked for later this year. It feels like a home from home. Very comfortable, plenty of equipment, large lounge, large TV. The stars at night are so bright and clear, air and light pollution minimal.

We had a lovely stay here - the location is great & easy to find, and we had everything we needed. The shower needs improving / updating though, especially as there is no bath, and it's a shame the fire is gas instead of log, but overall we would recommend this cottage :-)

Good size cottage just a short drive from Keswick. Large lounge, big garden with lovely views. We couldnt get the gas fire to work unfortunately. The twin bedroom was suffering from damp but as there were only two of use we didnt need to use that room.

The location of the cottage was perfect, bus stops nearby so did not need to use car, however the owners need to pay more attention to the small details which can greatly improve the standard.

The Lake District National Park is a superb choice for a holiday. If you love nature and the great outdoors, the Lake District is one of the UK’s most beautiful holiday destinations. Taking up the lion’s share of the north-western county of Cumbria, the region has been popular with visitors since Victorian times, and it’s the only place to find mountains in England. Peace and tranquillity characterise the wonderful Lake District, with 16 lakes, including England’s longest and deepest, there is much to see and do. Visit Coniston Water, Ullswater, Wast Water and Windermere for just a taste of what you can see in the Lake District National Park.

Small towns like Ambleside, Windermere, Hawkshead, Bowness-on-Windermere and Glenridding all make for great bases from which to relax and unwind between sojourns into the fantastic natural landscapes of the Lake District National Park. Wildlife and bird lovers can spot all kinds of lesser spotted species in situ, and walking trails reveal some of the very best vistas within English borders. To embellish the experience, you can enjoy some of the country’s cosiest pubs and restaurants, many found in picture-perfect locations.
