It was perfect for our family of 6. The three bedrooms each had their own bathroom, living area is spacious and we could all fit easily round the table at dinner time. Hannah the owner is lovely and left us to it for the week, but was also on hand for any queries. Situated near the town of Kendal and Lake Windermere just a 15 min drive away. Hannah and her family were available in case they were needed but otherwise they left us completely alone to enjoy the property. Middle Floor is a very well equipped apartment situated in an ideal location for the Southern Lakes. The apartment is very peaceful and it is surrounded by the lovely rolling countryside. There are handful of really good pub/restaurants within 5 to 10 mins drive and one reassuringly expensive pub on the doorstep.

The Lake District National Park is a superb choice for a holiday. If you love nature and the great outdoors, the Lake District is one of the UK’s most beautiful holiday destinations. Taking up the lion’s share of the north-western county of Cumbria, the region has been popular with visitors since Victorian times, and it’s the only place to find mountains in England. Peace and tranquillity characterise the wonderful Lake District, with 16 lakes, including England’s longest and deepest, there is much to see and do. Visit Coniston Water, Ullswater, Wast Water and Windermere for just a taste of what you can see in the Lake District National Park.

Small towns like Ambleside, Windermere, Hawkshead, Bowness-on-Windermere and Glenridding all make for great bases from which to relax and unwind between sojourns into the fantastic natural landscapes of the Lake District National Park. Wildlife and bird lovers can spot all kinds of lesser spotted species in situ, and walking trails reveal some of the very best vistas within English borders. To embellish the experience, you can enjoy some of the country’s cosiest pubs and restaurants, many found in picture-perfect locations.
