Surrounded by private gardens, it’s a super choice if you’re looking to bring your loyal canines with you, as two dogs are also welcome. With some spectacular walks on the doorstep and some of the most popular lakes nearby, this is a great base from which to explore the Lake District.

This stylish home has been designed with comfort and relaxation in mind. Entering via a shared hallway, you’ll find a spacious open-plan living area which is full of charm. If you’re in the mood for dining at home, then you’ll find all you need in the kitchen to rustle up something tasty. The cosy lounge area with its high vaulted ceiling and warming wood burner, is the perfect spot to unwind after a busy day of exploring. Staircases at each end of the room lead to two galleried areas – the first is above the lounge and features a seating area which overlooks the gardens. On the second, you’ll discover the king-size bedroom where a restful night’s sleep awaits. Enjoy a little al fresco dining in one of the seating areas to be found in the 5 acres of shared gardens, as the hounds roam freely.

The village of Hawkshead is a must-see when visiting the area, with its independent shops, pubs and restaurants. Stretch your legs on the circular route at the stunning Tarn Hows (4 miles) which can be enjoyed on foot or two wheels and takes in some majestic mountain views. The popular town of Ambleside is 4.5 miles away - from here, hop on one of the many pleasure cruises that cross Lake Windermere to enjoy the sights from a different perspective.

What an amazing cottage! Absolutely everything has been thought of here from a well stocked kitchen, plenty of fire wood and kindling for the log burner, great shower in the bathroom, chairs all over the place for when you fancy sitting with a different view. Excellent cottage, great facilities with everything you need. Lots of space for two people and the internal balcony looking out over the hills was a perfect place for a drink and relax. Perfect location for walks and serenity and not far from the fabulous Hawskhead if shops and pubs are desired. First rate.

This is an excellent base for walking in the area. The property was very welcoming and warmly furnished. The boot room for wet/muddy boots and coats was superb. We had a lovely stay with our two dogs for my birthday in February. Yes it was cold when we first arrived, as has been mentioned previously, however, the extra electric fan heaters plus the wood burner soon warmed it up and we didnt really feel the cold much for the rest of the stay (and I always feels the cold!). We absolutely loved our stay here! We stayed for a week in February with our dog. We had some days of bad weather, and the owners were very kind and made sure we had fire wood throughout our stay. Lovely setting close to Ambleside. Not ideal if you have a dog as no enclosed garden. Insufficient heating. Storage radiators hardly worked.

A fantastic stay at this beautiful accommodation. I must say that the photos in the advertisement do not do it justice! Perfect for acouple with a dog. A great base to get out and about between Windermere and Coniston. I would highly recommend to stay at any time of the year. We will definitely be back.

It is a lovely cottage and very well equipped. The location is along very narrow lanes so you have to be careful. The villages of Hawkshead and Coniston have a good selection of shops and cafes.

The best place we've stayed in the lakes! You can walk to Outgate and Hawkshead easily and there a huge number of walks straight from the cottage. Perfect for us The cottage was very comfortable, spacious yet cosy. We stayed in this cottage for a long weekend with our two Labradors in Oct 2020. We found this a lovely property, very clean and well situated for lots of activities on the doorstep. We loved having breakfast in the morning sun on the bench at the top of the garden, enjoying the views and peaceful location. The Weaver's gallery, Near Ambleside. We absolutely loved this cottage, it was perfect for the 2 of us and our Golden retriever. The location was also perfect, situated centrally between the lakes. We had great walks, the dog enjoyed much swimming in various lakes. We found a week was not long enough and can't wait to go back again next year. loved this place, really cosy for a couple, lovely gardens and a secluded setting. we chose it as we are keen fell walkers and wanted to be away the village for a change, however it is only a 20 minute walk to the village which was fine for us. Great lobby area for wet outdoor gear and muddy boots. would definitely stay again.

We love the peace and quiet of Weavers Gallery, which is spacious and well- equipped. The dogs have plenty of safe spaces to run around. Being near Hawkshead, it is very convenient for exploring the Lake District.

The cottage felt very airy but cosy also . It was adequately equipped and there were lovely seating areas outside in the garden on the rare occasion that the sun shone !! It is in a beautiful location and not too far to walk to Hawkshead. However , just as a note , when we popped down to Hawkshead , in the car , just to buy a loaf of bread , we hadRead more to pay 3 parking as it is 2 hours minimum.
