This charming ground-floor property is situated in Field Head and can be found down a quiet country lane and is set on a hill overlooking the Esthwaite Valley. A perfect base for exploring the Lake District, and you can easily spend all day exploring Tarn Hows and Black Crag or Grizedale Forest, which is ideal for mountain biking. The mountains of Langdale are just over the hill, and with stunning fell views, this is an idyllic and tranquil location. For shops, pubs and restaurants, Hawkshead is a mile away, and Coniston is a short drive over the hill. Surrounded by beautiful rural scenery, this 17th century farmhouse is believed to have originally been a weaver’s gallery.
On entering this lovely cottage, you will find a large shared entrance hall ideal for hanging coats and walking gear. Heading through the oak door you enter a hallway which leads up a few steps and you will soon find yourself in the spacious and inviting lounge/diner, which has traditional beams and offers delightful views onto the garden. The dining area is ideally situated and is perfect whether you’re sitting down to a special meal or simply grabbing a snack. The wood burner effect electric fire is a cosy focal point for this room, which also includes a TV/DVD for you to snuggle in front of. The attractively designed kitchen makes excellent use of space and contains everything you may need including electric oven, fridge, microwave and washing machine. A couple of steps down from the lounge you will find two comfy bedrooms – a single and a double. The bathroom is complete with a shower over the bath shower and WC.
Stepping outside you will find a pretty landscaped garden which is shared with two other properties, and large grounds with garden furniture and lovely views across the rolling countryside. There is a barn area for bike storage and off-road parking is available.
