Pretty cottage set in large shared grounds located in Field Head, overlooking the beautiful Esthwaite Valley, close to Lake Windermere and Coniston Water.

This charming ground-floor property is situated in Field Head and can be found down a quiet country lane and is set on a hill overlooking the Esthwaite Valley. A perfect base for exploring the Lake District, and you can easily spend all day exploring Tarn Hows and Black Crag or Grizedale Forest, which is ideal for mountain biking. The mountains of Langdale are just over the hill, and with stunning fell views, this is an idyllic and tranquil location. For shops, pubs and restaurants, Hawkshead is a mile away, and Coniston is a short drive over the hill. Surrounded by beautiful rural scenery, this 17th century farmhouse is believed to have originally been a weaver’s gallery.

On entering this lovely cottage, you will find a large shared entrance hall ideal for hanging coats and walking gear. Heading through the oak door you enter a hallway which leads up a few steps and you will soon find yourself in the spacious and inviting lounge/diner, which has traditional beams and offers delightful views onto the garden. The dining area is ideally situated and is perfect whether you’re sitting down to a special meal or simply grabbing a snack. The wood burner effect electric fire is a cosy focal point for this room, which also includes a TV/DVD for you to snuggle in front of. The attractively designed kitchen makes excellent use of space and contains everything you may need including electric oven, fridge, microwave and washing machine. A couple of steps down from the lounge you will find two comfy bedrooms – a single and a double. The bathroom is complete with a shower over the bath shower and WC.

Stepping outside you will find a pretty landscaped garden which is shared with two other properties, and large grounds with garden furniture and lovely views across the rolling countryside. There is a barn area for bike storage and off-road parking is available.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this particular property. Weavers Loft is extremely comfortable and in an ideal location. There are numerous walks that you can do straight from your door and the village of Hawkshead is just up the road with various speciality shops, supermarket and numerous pubs all serving good food. Ambleside is a short drRead moreive away and well worth a visit. The gardens of this property are always kept in immaculate condition with a table and bench at the top if you want to Bbq/picnic. Cannot find anything to fault with this property, I do usually go for a property with a secure private garden rather than communal garden as this property does share its garden area with 2 other properties but this is specified so we were well aware of this before arrival Hide
