With some fantastic walks and cycle trails on the doorstep, and a local pub, shop and restaurant within 1.5 miles, there’s something to keep everyone entertained.
Set within 5 acres of shared landscaped gardens and grounds, this charming property is thought to have once been the weaver’s gallery of the original farmhouse. The large shared hallway leads into a spacious lounge/diner where the warming wood burner-effect electric fire provides a cosy focal point on relaxing evenings in front of the TV. The accommodation is on one level and there are two bedrooms offering a calming and restful haven at the end of the day. Step outside into the shared gardens, where you’ll find plenty of seating areas to relax in, while there’s also a handy barn storage area to pop your bicycles.
If you don’t fancy cooking, head into Hawkshead (1 mile) where you’ll find some friendly local pubs. The circular walk at the picturesque Tarn Hows (1.5 miles) takes in some stunning mountain views along the way, while the woodland trails at Grizedale Forest (4.5 miles) are fun to explore. Enjoy a cycle or walk around Lake Windermere (6 miles) or take to the water itself on a pleasure cruise. Explore the turrets and towers of Wray Castle (3 miles), which sits on the shores of the lake.
